The Cervelo R5 Red AXS 2026 continues the legendary R5 story, delivering one of the lightest and most capable road race bikes ever created. Weighing just 5.97kg in a size 56 build, this bike sits 900 grams below the UCI’s minimum weight limit. Designed to dominate the world’s most demanding climbs and descents, the R5 combines featherweight construction with uncompromising stiffness and precise handling – proven at the Tour de France and Tour de France Femmes.

At the heart of the R5 is a 651g all-carbon frame paired with a 298g tapered R5 fork. Every detail has been refined for performance, with Cervelo shaving 326 grams across the cockpit, wheels, and finishing kit. The updated fit geometry mirrors the Cervelo S5, placing the rider in a stronger, more aerodynamic position for racing and fast group rides.

The new Cervelo HB18 bar and stem system reduces weight by 150g while adding aerodynamic gains of 2 watts, inspired by the proven design of the S5 cockpit. UCI-legal in all sizes, it balances stiffness, comfort, and efficiency for long days in the saddle. The Reserve 34 | 37 SL wheelset further trims 60g without sacrificing strength, paired with Vittoria Corsa Pro Speed TLR 700×26 tyres for speed and control.

Equipped with the latest SRAM Red AXS XPLR E1 13-speed groupset and integrated power meter, the R5 delivers crisp electronic shifting and optimal gearing for the steepest gradients. The finishing kit includes a Prologo Nago R4 PAS lightweight saddle, Cervelo SP33 carbon seatpost, and DT Swiss 180 hubs for premium rolling efficiency.
