MOUNTAIN BIKE SALES SPECIALIST, Full time, Lake District

Location: WHEELBASE Lake District, Mill Yard, Staveley, Kendal LA8 9LR

We are currently looking for someone with a real passion for mountain biking to work in our large MTB department at our flagship store in the heart of the English Lake District.

We have one of the largest mountain bike ranges on display in the UK, from all the top brands like Yeti, Trek, Whyte, Transition, Nukeproof Cannondale, Mondraker, Kona and Cube. You will be working with MTB’s and eMTBs as this market grows.

In a busy and exciting environment, we strive to deliver outstanding customer service, expert knowledge and the latest products. We are looking for a motivated individual with a passion for mountain biking to join the team.

ABOUT THE JOB:

  • To offer first-class customer service to all of our store customers at the UK’s largest cycle store.
  • Provide advice, assistance and expertise within any of our store departments; mountain, road, electric, leisure, kids and adventure.
  • Work closely with your Store Sales Team to create a positive, exciting and engaging retail environment.
  • The role is fast paced, varied and testing.

YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO:

  • Engage with customers, from meeting and greeting to asking questions, listening and understanding their needs.
  • Develop your product knowledge in the latest mountain bike tech and eMTB developments
  • Manage sales orders and deliver them within time frames.

WORKSHOP TECHNICIAN, Full-Time, Yorkshire 

Location: Wheelbase Yorkshire, 25 Skipton Road, Ilkley, West Yorkshire, LS29 9EW

We are looking for an efficient and motivated individual with a passion for cycling to join the team the team in our busy Yorkshire store.

You will be working in our fully fitted professional Park Tools USA workshop on quality road, mountain and leisure bikes. We have a large team of technician’s here at the UK’s largest cycle store and you will need to integrate well in to the busy yet relaxed environment of our pro-workshop.

The role in detail: you will be a member of our WHEELBASE Yorkshire Workshop team and be involved with pre-delivery inspections (PDI’s) and packing bikes to be shipped to customers worldwide. You will be involved with the servicing and maintenance of customer bikes, plus custom builds and bike building for the shop floor.

You will need to ensure all our customers are treated professionally, politely and leave the workshop feeling that they have received great customer service

What we expect from you:
– Good level of knowledge across mountain, road and leisure bikes.
– Efficient, tidy and accurate.
– Approachable, friendly and confident at all times.
– Up to date with the latest cycling technologies including, electric bikes, electronic shifting and the latest suspension systems.
– Quick, yet realistic estimations for repairing bikes.
– Clean, presentable and smartly dressed in shop uniform.
– Clean and organised workspace, which is completely clear at the end of the day.

Salary: we offer a competitive salary, dependent on experience.

Hours: 9.00am – 5:30pm Monday to Saturday, 10am to 4pm Sunday’s (working days to be agreed), with an opportunity for paid overtime during peak periods. Plus, possibility of work at events, store openings etc.
