WHEELBASE Lake District HQ – eCommerce Order Processor

We are on the lookout for a fantastic eCommerce Order Processor – somebody who is hooked on the process, hugely efficient and has an eye for accuracy.

In this fast-paced role you’ll handle the flow of orders from purchase to dispatch, ensuring everything is accurate, timely, and professionally managed. You’ll be part of a supportive team where attention to detail and customer care help us retain our 5-Star Trustpilot profile.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process incoming eCommerce orders via our online platform.
  • Manage our bicycle assembly workflow.
  • Pick and pack products accurately and efficiently.
  • Communicate order updates with customers.
  • Coordinate with our team and partners to ensure prompt dispatch.
  • Handle returns, exchanges, and customer enquiries.
  • Keep order processing systems and records up to date.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in order processing, fulfilment or eCommerce operations.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Comfortable using computers and online retail platforms (e.g., Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento).
  • A proactive attitude and ability to work independently.
  • A passion for bikes and cycling is a plus!

WHEELBASE Lake District HQ – Sales Assistant, Full-Time and Part-Time

We are currently looking for fantastic Sales Assistants to join our store team. You will be working in the UK’s largest cycle store, located in the heart of the English Lake District.

In a busy and exciting environment, we strive to deliver outstanding service to our customers. Providing the latest products from the world’s brands, across all disciplines of our sport – mountain, road, electric, leisure, kids and adventure.

We have opportunities for full, part time and flexible contracts. We are particularly looking for people with a specialist knowledge in road cycling.

ABOUT THE JOB:

  • To offer first-class customer service to all of our store customers at the UK’s largest cycle store.
  • Provide advice, assistance and expertise across any of our store departments; mountain, road, electric, leisure, kids and adventure, though a specialism in road cycling would be a real advantage.
  • Work closely with your Store Sales Team to create a positive, exciting and engaging retail environment.
  • The role is fast paced, varied and testing.

YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO:

  • Achieve a best-in-class customer experience and ensure the team delivers exceptional customer service.
  • Have a passion for cycling and develop your product knowledge across mountain, road, electric, leisure, kids and adventure bikes, clothing and accessories.
  • Engage with customers from meeting and greeting to asking questions, listening, and understanding their needs.
  • Correctly process your sales and keep customers up to date with progress.
  • Be a team player – support the Store Manager and the rest of your store team.

  • The store must be merchandised daily and always be presented to a high standard.

  • Passionate about cycling.
  • A specialism in Road Cycling advantageous
  • Willingness to develop inter-personal skills and product knowledge.

  • Have great commercial sense and be sales orientated.

WHEELBASE Lake District HQ – Bike Builder/ Junior Technician

We are looking for an efficient, motivated and mechanically minded individual with a passion for cycling to join the team in our busy Lake District store as Bike Builder / Junior Technician.

The role in detail:

You will be working in our fully fitted professional Park Tools USA workshop assembling new road, mountain and electric bikes to go on display in our stores in the Lake District, Yorkshire and the North East. You will be also carrying out pre-delivery inspections (PDI) on sold bikes before they are handed to customers.

You will learn and develop your mechanical skills which guidance and tuition from our team of highly experienced cycle mechanics.

What we expect from you:

  • A reasonable level of technical knowledge across mountain, road and leisure bikes.
  • Good time management skills, efficient, tidy and precise working practices.
  • Achieve a build rate of 8 bikes per day, plus PDI.
  • Team player who integrates well.
  • Clean and organised workspace, which is completely cleaned down at the end of the working day.

SALARY: we offer a competitive salary based on ability and experience.

HOURS: full time, part time and flexible opportunities available.

WHEELBASE North East – FT and PT Sales Assistants

We are currently looking for outstanding applicants to join the team at Wheelbase North East, Darlington as a Sales Assistants. We have full-time and part-time positions available.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

We are looking for candidates with previous retail experience, who are confident and capable of delivering a first-class retail experience to our valued customers. Mountain bike experience would be advantageous.
