Junior Trail Performance Bike

The 2026 Merida Matts J.Champion is built for young riders who are ready to take their mountain biking to the next level. Designed to grow with the rider, it comes equipped with lightweight 26” wheels but has the capability to upgrade to 27.5” wheels as height and skill develop. With a premium air suspension fork, wide-range Shimano 1×9 drivetrain, hydraulic disc brakes, and a dropper post, this junior mountain bike delivers the same high-quality performance found in Merida’s adult bikes – scaled perfectly for younger riders.

Constructed from double-butted TFS 6061 aluminium with technoformed tubing, the Matts J.Champion offers a strong yet lightweight frame for responsive handling and confident control. The 120mm X-Fusion RC32 fork smooths out rough trails, while the dropper seatpost adds versatility on technical descents. Hydraulic disc brakes provide all-weather stopping power, and the Shimano Cues drivetrain makes climbing easier with its 11-46T wide-range cassette. Designed for riders between approximately 137cm and 150cm tall, this bike ensures a comfortable and capable ride on real mountain bike terrain.
