The Orbea Kimu 27 H10 is the most advanced and capable bike in the Kimu Development range, built for riders aged 9 to 12 who are ready for real mountain bike performance. With a 120mm class suspension fork, a 12 speed drivetrain, a dropper post and 27.5 inch Big Wheel stability, it gives young riders the control, confidence and capability they need to tackle proper trails. The Kimu 27 H10 is designed for kids who are ready to ride the same terrain as adults. The Marzocchi Bomber Z2 fork delivers smooth, controlled suspension with Boost stiffness for precise steering on roots, rocks and technical features. Combined with a long travel dropper post, it gives young riders the tools to descend with confidence and maintain balance on steep or uneven ground.

Lightweight, Responsive and Ready to Progress

A low bike to rider weight ratio remains central to the Kimu philosophy. The lightweight frame, efficient wheelset and carefully selected components keep the bike agile and easy to handle. Short 155mm cranks match growing leg lengths, supporting a natural pedalling motion. The Shimano Deore 12 speed drivetrain offers a huge 10-51t range, making climbs easier and giving riders the gearing they need for varied terrain.

Big Wheel Stability and High Performance Tyres

The 27.5 inch wheels follow the Big Wheel concept used across the Development range, offering smoother rolling, better traction and improved stability – just like 29 inch wheels on adult bikes. Paired with Schwalbe Wicked Will Evo tyres in a 2.40 width, the bike delivers exceptional grip, low rolling resistance and confident cornering on loose or technical surfaces.

Durable, Quiet and Built to Grow

Internal cable routing and dedicated protectors keep the bike quiet and well shielded from everyday knocks. The Shimano Shadow Plus rear derailleur stays tucked away from impacts while maintaining chain stability on rough terrain. The adjustable growth stem ensures the bike continues to fit as the rider grows, extending its lifespan and value.

Personalisation Included

Like all Kimu models, the 27 H10 includes interchangeable protectors with dedicated designs. Riders can also personalise their bike with stickers and a name plate, creating a sense of ownership and pride as they progress into more advanced riding.
