eCommerce and Product Data Administrator
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Data Administrator to join our expanding e-commerce team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and optimising product data across our e-commerce platform. Your primary focus will be on maintaining accurate and up-to-date product information, ensuring data consistency, and supporting the overall efficiency of our online sales channels.
Responsibilities:
- Update and manage product listings on the Wheelbase website, ensuring accuracy and consistency in product descriptions, specification details, images and pricing.
- Collaborate with suppliers to obtain high-quality imagery, product information, and specifications to enhance product listings.
- Conduct regular checks on the website, including functionality, and promptly highlight any issues or errors identified.
- Work closely with web developers to identify and troubleshoot technical issues, ensuring optimal website performance and functionality.
- Analyse website performance data, identify trends, and provide recommendations where necessary.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Excellent IT skills, particularly proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of product data management, including product categorisation, attributes, and taxonomy.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills to effectively manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Solid problem-solving skills and ability to proactively identify and resolve issues.
- Effective communication skills to liaise with suppliers, web developers, and other team members.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Self-motivated and driven.
- Positive attitude and ‘can-do’ mindset.
- Familiarity with web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) and ability to interpret data to drive informed decision-making. (Desirable but not essential.)
- Skills with photo editing software i.e. Adobe Photoshop. (Desirable but not essential.)
Location: Wheelbase HQ, Staveley, Kendal, Cumbria LA8 9LR UK. 15mins from the M6 motorway and 5mins walk from Staveley train station.
Salary: We offer a competitive salary, dependent on experience.
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday 9am – 5.30pm.

Stock Allocator
Our Stock Allocator position is an exciting and varied new role at Wheelbase; this is a great opportunity to join a dynamic and growing team as we move forward with new processes in buying and merchandising. You will be analysing trading data, trends and departmental performance and you play a key role in making sure we have the right stock in the right place at the right times. As part of the stock team responsible for omni-channel stock management for a large portfolio of products you’ll play your part in delivering our sales, margin and stock targets. Comfortable with IT and proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, you’ll have good numerical and analytical skills with a great attention to detail. The role will involve both analytical work within our inventory programme and logistical planning for physical stock movements and stock takes.
- You will execute company processes to ensure products are ordered, received, stored and/or delivered safely and accurately.
- Responsible for ensuring our weekly reporting package and related documents are up to date and accurate. This will include Trade Sheets, Best Sellers and Range Plans, amongst others.
- Be able to understand and interpret key reports, department targets and business objectives.
- Attend all team trade meetings, make observations, and propose actions and take ownership for any delegated tasks resulting.
- Work with the buying team to continually manage and maintain the master range plan and order book, keeping it up to date for all relevant lines.
- Develop Excel and other IT skills and knowledge to be able to operate, improve and build reports etc to aid delivery of Merchandising functions and analysis of departmental data.
- Ability to identify areas of loss & shrinkage and suggest actions to improve.
- Work with the warehouse and suppliers to maintain the delivery schedule, resolve any issues with inbound/outbound stock and organise for returns such as over deliveries, damaged stock, or warranty claims.
- Resolve any problems and systems issues preventing movement of stock around the business including within the warehouse and stores.
- Regularly review competitors (both online and bricks and mortar) ranges, prices, and store displays and communicate findings and proposed actions to the team.
- Be careful and accurate in all work.
- Be able to prioritise and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
- Ability to establish strong working relationships and engagement with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders.
