Launched today! The NEW Wahoo KICKR and KICKR BIKE with WiFi. It’s time to say goodbye to some of the typical frustrations of a smart trainer connected by Bluetooth; with potential issues around drop outs and Bluetooth/ANT+ signal strength, picking cadence back up in ERG after a pause or slow down and outdated firmware which is not able to be updated all being issues of the past with this new WiFi configuration.

The switch over to WiFi rather than Bluetooth/ANT+ will help eliminate some connectivity issues.

 

Introducing WiFi to both the KICKR and KICKR BIKE means range and connectivity is greatly improved with data transfer speeds up to 65% faster vs. standard Bluetooth/ANT+ speeds. Now Wahoo’s ERG ramp allows you to get off the bike and back on with a smooth transition to high wattage levels, should you find yourself having to step off to grab a dropped bottle or similar. WiFi connectivity helps to future-proof your smart trainer too with automatic firmware updates helping ensure you always get the best out of your indoor training sessions.
