Booking for the Wheelbase Big Demo Day at Hamsterley Forest this coming Saturday the 13th of May is NOW CLOSED. However we are still offering demo bikes to ride with places still available! Simply turn up on the day and pay £10.00 per ride (cash only) to demo a mountain bike from one of our leading brands.
Join us at Hamsterley Forest Trail Centre for our Wheelbase BIG DEMO Day and enjoy riding your dream mountain bike! Our Wheelbase North East Darlington and Stockton-On-Tees stores will be hosting an action-packed day of riding, with the latest, greatest eMTBs and Mountain Bikes available to shred at one of the best trail centres in the north of England.
We’ll have a huge fleet of eMTBs and Mountain Bikes from top brands Cannondale, Nukeproof, Yeti, Mondraker, Merida, Focus, Polygon and Jamis. You can now book your dream ride online, selecting each bike that you want to test ride during each time-slot available, with rides going out at 9.30am, 11.00pm, 12.30pm, 2.00pm and 3.30pm.

How?
The 2023 edition will bring together eight of the World’s best mountain bike brands for one BIG day of mountain bike riding at Hamsterley Forest. There’s a huge fleet of mountain and e-mountain bikes available to demo at this super-fun trail centre. Everyone is welcome from beginners to seasoned experts. All demo rides need to be booked in advance through our Big Demo website. Demo bikes are £10.00 to book per ride.

We’re bringing together the best mountain bike brands available for our BIG Day! Each brand is bringing along their own fleet of expertly maintained demo mountain and e-mountain bikes, ready to ride. As well as getting you set-up on your chosen bike they’ll be able to talk you through all of its key features and answer any questions you may have. The Wheelbase BIG Demo Day at Hamsterley Forest is a chance to really get to know how your chosen bike behaves in real-world riding conditions. What better way to get to know how the latest suspension or e-bike motor feels than at one of the North’s most enjoyable trail centres.

Head’s up! Why not make a weekend of it and ride the HAMSTERLEY BEAST the day after our Demo event? Enjoy a big day on the bike in the beautiful surroundings of Hamsterley Forest in County Durham. This gruelling ride will take in the best of the trail centre and beyond, testing your mettle but keeping the fun factor dialled high. Ride with your mates. Ride against your mates. Push yourself to your limits or take things a little easier and just appreciate the wonderful landscape as you whizz through it on your bike.
AND there’s free camping in the heart of Hamsterley. If you want to stay after our Wheelbase Demo you can join the pre-ride festivities on Saturday and camp for free! It’s on the house! On Saturday Hamsterley Beast have music, food and beer along with a mechanic and trade stands. Go for a spin in the forest or just bask in the ambience and chill before the big ride on Sunday.
