Wheelbase Lake District are celebrating two fantastic days of demo riding following our hugely successful BIG DEMO WEEKEND 2023
Wheelbase kicked off a busy year of events with the biggest, best Demo event we have ever hosted! With unpredictable weather forecast all of our favourite bike brands bravely made the long trip to the Lake District in a journey punctuated by heavy snow fall across the U.K.
The show must go on though and despite the cold temperatures our Big Demo event village quickly took shape with TREK, Yeti, Scott, Whyte, Mondraker, Nukeproof, Cannondale, Merida, Orbea, Focus, Polygon and Jamis all setting up their pits and priming their respective fleets of demo mountain bikes ready for riding.
The big demo weekend was a chance for riders to get a feel for the latest tech and shred on some of the most exciting new mountain bikes and eMTBs; with each group ride guided by fully-qualified, certified mountain bike guides from the Cycle Active team our customers got to take their dream bikes out onto some of the most iconic trails in the south Lake District before heading back to Wheelbase HQ for refreshments and a quick bike change before heading out again for more fun!
We’d like to thank all of our customers who attended, our fantastic bike brands for supplying us with the world’s best bikes and the hard-working guides for getting everyone around the challenging trails safely. We can’t wait to do it all again next year; if you’ve got FOMO (fear of missing out) then pencil it in your diary for a similar date in March next year!
Wheelbase Northeast also be hosting a mountain bike demo day in Hamsterley Forest on the 13th of May and Wheelbase Coventry will be hosting their demo day on the 15th of July at the Cannock Chase trail centre. Keep an eye our website from more details…
