Garmin Varia™ RearVue 820 Radar Rear Light

The Garmin Varia RearVue 820 is a combined rear radar and bike light designed to improve on-road awareness. It detects vehicles approaching from behind at distances of up to 175 metres and delivers visible light output of up to 100 lumens. When paired with compatible Garmin Edge® devices or the Varia™ app, it provides real-time alerts and vehicle tracking data.

Designed for road cycling, commuting and training, the radar provides earlier awareness of traffic approaching from the rear.

• Automatic brake light activation when decelerating

• 220° viewing angle

The brake light function triggers a distinctive flash pattern when slowing, improving communication with riders and drivers behind.

Light Modes

Select from four preset modes:

• Day Flash – 100 lumens (up to 24 hours)

• Night Flash – 40 lumens (up to 10 hours)

• Solid – 25 lumens (up to 10 hours)

• Peloton Mode – 8 lumens (up to 15 hours)

Custom light configurations can be set using the Varia mobile app.
