High-Performance Protection
The Syntax uses Giro’s Integrated MIPS system to help reduce rotational forces during angled impacts. The MIPS layer sits between the helmet’s liners and allows controlled movement to redirect energy away from the brain. All Giro helmets are designed to reduce as much energy as possible while meeting and exceeding stringent safety standards.
Hard Shell With In-Mold Hardbody Lower Wrap
A two-piece shell construction combines a rugged outer hard shell with a polycarbonate lower wrap permanently fused to the EPS liner. This increases durability and impact performance without adding unnecessary weight.
Roc Loc 5 Air MIPS Fit System
The Roc Loc 5 Air MIPS system suspends the helmet slightly above the skull to improve airflow and cooling. Fit tension and fore-aft tilt can be adjusted with one hand, allowing quick fine-tuning during a ride. Roc Loc 5 Air MIPS allows cool airflow to pass directly over your head, enhancing the performance of vents and internal channeling.
Wind Tunnel Ventilation
Giro’s Wind Tunnel system uses active vents and internal exhaust channels to push cool air over the scalp and force heat out of the helmet. This design provides noticeable cooling power on long climbs and warm-weather rides.
Ionic+ Padding
Ionic+ padding uses silver fibres to provide natural, permanent odour protection. It absorbs sweat effectively and keeps the helmet feeling fresh on repeated rides.
