Description

Maxxis High Roller 3 MaxxGrip Downhill MTB Tyre

The High Roller 3 is a gravity tyre built for the demands of modern downhill racing. Sitting between the Assegai and the Shorty in the Maxxis range, it uses an open centre tread and large, reinforced side knobs to deliver control in loose, mixed and wet conditions. The hybrid tread layout gives the tyre the bite of a mid spike with the stability and braking confidence needed on hard surfaces. Developed at World Cup level, it has already taken a win at Mont Sainte Anne under Jackson Goldstone.

Key Features

  • Hybrid tread design for loose, mixed and wet downhill terrain
  • Open centre tread for soil penetration and braking control
  • Large, well supported side knobs for high load cornering
  • Designed for modern DH speeds and aggressive riding
  • Folding bead
  • Tubeless Ready construction
  • 3C MaxxGrip compound for maximum traction
  • DH and DoubleDown casing options
  • Butyl insert for pinch flat protection and rim impact support
  • Wide Trail shaping optimised for 35 mm rims

MaxxGrip Compound

3C MaxxGrip uses the softest Maxxis rubber compounds to maximise grip and slow rebound. It provides the highest level of traction and control for downhill applications where precision and stability are essential.

Downhill Casing and Butyl Insert

The DH and DoubleDown casings use a dual ply construction for strength and impact protection. A butyl insert runs from the bead into the sidewall to reduce pinch flats, protect the rim and add support under heavy cornering loads.

Wide Trail Construction

Wide Trail shaping optimises the tread profile on modern rims with 30 to 35 mm inner widths. This maintains the correct tyre shape for consistent cornering, predictable support and improved stability at speed.

Tubeless Ready

Tubeless Ready construction allows lower pressures for more grip and comfort, reduced rolling resistance and fewer flats. Use only approved tubeless sealants to maintain performance and warranty coverage.
