Description
Cervelo Aspero Force AXS 2027 Gravel Bike
The Cervelo Aspero Force AXS 2027 combines the fast, race-focused Aspero carbon platform with wireless SRAM shifting, a wide-range Eagle Transmission drivetrain and a power meter. The latest Aspero refines the original formula with improved aerodynamics, increased rear compliance, slightly reduced front-end stiffness and additional mud clearance for long, demanding days on gravel.
This build pairs SRAM Force AXS E1 controls with an X0 Eagle AXS T-Type rear derailleur and 10-52T 12-speed cassette. A Force XPLR AXS E1 46T power meter chainset, Reserve 48 GR carbon wheels and 700 x 45C WTB Vulpine tyres create a high-spec setup for fast gravel racing and mixed-surface riding.

Aspero Speed with More Comfort
The latest Aspero remains firmly focused on fast gravel riding, but Cervelo has refined how the bike performs over long distances. Aerodynamic development delivers a stated three-watt improvement over the previous Aspero, helping conserve energy when riding at speed or spending long periods exposed to a headwind.
Dropped seat stays introduce additional compliance at the rear, while Cervelo has slightly reduced front-end stiffness to make the bike more comfortable during the later stages of long races and rides. Additional clearance between the seat stays also gives accumulated mud more room to pass through the frame.
SRAM Force AXS and X0 Eagle Transmission
This Aspero combines SRAM Force AXS E1 controls with an X0 Eagle AXS T-Type rear derailleur, creating a wireless electronic 1×12 drivetrain. A wide-range SRAM X0 Eagle T-Type 10-52T cassette provides the gearing range needed to move between fast gravel sections and significantly steeper climbs without adding a front derailleur.
The 46T SRAM Force XPLR AXS E1 chainset keeps the front of the drivetrain focused on fast gravel riding while making use of the 10-52T cassette’s range when the terrain becomes more demanding.
Integrated Power Meter
A power meter is integrated into the SRAM Force XPLR AXS E1 chainset, giving riders access to power data without needing to add a separate aftermarket system. For riders training or racing with power, this makes performance measurement part of the bike’s standard drivetrain specification.
UDH and T-Type Compatibility
The latest Aspero adopts SRAM’s Universal Derailleur Hanger standard and this build makes direct use of that compatibility with its X0 Eagle AXS T-Type rear derailleur. The UDH interface also prepares the frame for drivetrain developments that use the same standard.
T47a Threaded Bottom Bracket
Cervelo uses its asymmetrical T47a threaded bottom bracket interface on the Aspero. First introduced by Cervelo on the R5-CX, it provides a threaded, rider-serviceable interface while retaining the packaging advantages Cervelo sought from its BBRight design.
Reserve 48 GR Carbon Wheels
Reserve 48 GR carbon wheels bring a performance-focused gravel wheelset to the Force AXS build. They are paired with DT Swiss 370 hubs and use Centerlock disc interfaces, 24-spoke construction and tubeless-compatible rims.
WTB Vulpine TCS Light Fast Rolling Dual DNA SG 120 tpi tyres measure 700 x 45C, giving the Aspero a high-volume gravel tyre setup for riding quickly across varied surfaces.
Carbon Gravel Cockpit
Cervelo’s AB09 carbon handlebar uses a 31.8 mm clamp and 16 degree flare, creating a gravel-specific cockpit paired with the ST36 alloy stem. A Fizik Vento Argo X3 saddle and Cervelo SP19 27.2 mm carbon seatpost complete the main contact points.
Storage and Accessory Mounts
The Aspero Force AXS includes Cervelo’s Smartpak Top Tube Storage Bag 400A for easily accessible ride essentials. Cervelo front computer and rear accessory mounts are also included, adding dedicated mounting options without compromising the bike’s race-focused setup.
Who It’s For
The Cervelo Aspero Force AXS 2027 is for gravel riders and racers looking for a fast carbon bike with electronic shifting, very wide-range 1x gearing and integrated power measurement. Its SRAM Force and X0 Eagle AXS drivetrain, Reserve 48 GR carbon wheels, 45C WTB tyres and refined Aspero frame make it particularly well suited to gravel racing, long-distance events and fast mixed-surface riding where efficiency, gearing range and capability all matter.
