Lightweight Carbon Frame and Fork
The FX Sport SL 5 uses Trek’s 400 Series OCLV Carbon for a fast, responsive ride. Internal cable routing keeps the bike clean and quiet, while mudguard mounts and DuoTrap S compatibility add everyday practicality. The carbon fork smooths road buzz and includes hidden mounts for a tidy setup.
SRAM Apex 11 Speed Drivetrain
A SRAM Apex 1x drivetrain provides simple, reliable shifting with a wide 11 42 cassette for steep climbs and fast rolling terrain. The long cage rear derailleur handles big gear ranges with ease, and the 42T narrow wide chainring keeps the chain secure on rougher surfaces.
Hydraulic Disc Braking
Shimano hydraulic disc brakes deliver strong, predictable stopping power in all weather conditions. Paired with 160 mm rotors, the FX Sport SL 5 offers confident braking whether you are commuting, training or descending at speed.
Tubeless Ready Wheels and Fast Rolling Tyres
Bontrager Paradigm tubeless ready rims reduce weight and improve ride quality. Bontrager GR1 Expert 700×40 mm tyres offer grip, comfort and speed on tarmac, gravel paths and fitness routes. Maximum tyre size is 42 mm without mudguards or 40 mm with mudguards.
Cockpit and Contact Points
The flat handlebar and ergonomic IsoZone grips provide comfort and control on longer rides. Bar width and stem length are size specific for a balanced fit across the range. The Bontrager Montrose Comp saddle and alloy seatpost complete a comfortable, performance focused setup.
