Waterproof Storage for Bikepacking Adventures
Constructed from Apidura’s Expedition Grade waterproof fabric, the pack uses RF-welded seams to create a watertight compartment for clothing and other equipment. Stable BarSpace Handlebar Mounting
The BarSpace system uses two modules that position the pack away from the handlebars, helping preserve hand space and maintain stability over rough terrain. A Stability Cord secures the system around the bars and stem, while a Preload Strap around the steerer provides additional tension. Once adjusted, the pack can be attached or removed quickly without tools or permanent handlebar hardware.
Adjustable Capacity with SoftVent Compression
Dual side-roll closures allow you to adjust the pack’s width and volume to suit the amount of equipment carried. The integrated SoftVent Air Valve releases trapped air as the bag is compressed, helping create a compact, secure load without a conventional plastic purge valve. The side-opening design is particularly useful on drop-bar bikes, where clearance around the hoods and drops is important.
Modular Storage and Accessory Compatibility
Integrated Anchor Rails allow the addition of Apidura’s Expedition Front Cargo Mesh or Expedition Front Accessory Pack, providing extra carrying options when required. The BarSpace modules also feature 3-prong mounting points compatible with Apidura’s GPS Mount and Accessory Arm, allowing compatible computers, lights or cameras to be positioned without occupying additional handlebar space. Handlebar Compatibility and Fit
The Expedition Handlebar Pack requires a suitable round handlebar section for secure installation of the BarSpace modules. Most integrated and aero cockpits are not compatible. Check handlebar width, tyre clearance and the available space between the drops before fitting, particularly on smaller frames. For carbon handlebars, consult the handlebar manufacturer’s mounting and load guidance.
Care and Maintenance
Hand wash using dish soap and a non-abrasive sponge, then leave to dry flat. Do not machine wash or tumble dry.
