Description
Nukeproof Mega LE Full Suspension Enduro Mountain Bike
The Nukeproof Mega LE is a limited-edition enduro mountain bike built for riders who want a proven, big-travel platform with a tough, trail-ready specification. Finished in distinctive Kraken Blue with yellow logos, this special one-time production run combines Nukeproof’s hydroformed aluminium Mega frame with 170 mm RockShox suspension, powerful Shimano four-piston brakes and aggressive Schwalbe Magic Mary tyres. Once this limited batch has sold out, no further production is planned.
Designed for demanding enduro trails, steep descents and bike park riding, the Mega LE focuses on the components that matter when the terrain gets rough. A RockShox ZEB Base fork and Super Deluxe Base rear shock provide control over big impacts, while Shimano Deore 12-speed gearing, WTB Tough rims and an X-Fusion Manic dropper post complete a practical build. Size-specific wheel configurations and rear suspension travel ensure the bike’s handling is matched to its frame size.

Limited-Edition Kraken Blue Mega Frame
The Mega LE uses Nukeproof’s established hydroformed 6061-T6 aluminium frame platform, developed around the demands of aggressive enduro and all-mountain riding. Its robust construction is designed to handle challenging trails, repeated impacts and demanding descents, while the distinctive Kraken Blue finish with contrasting yellow graphics sets this limited-edition model apart from the standard range.
A tapered head tube, Boost 148×12 mm rear axle and 73 mm BSA threaded bottom bracket provide a practical foundation for the build. The threaded bottom bracket is particularly useful for straightforward servicing and maintenance. With only a single production run planned, the Mega LE offers a distinctive version of one of Nukeproof’s best-known mountain bike platforms.
170 mm RockShox ZEB Fork and Super Deluxe Rear Suspension
Up front, the RockShox ZEB Base fork provides 170 mm of travel, giving the Mega LE the suspension capacity needed for steep descents, rocky trails and larger impacts. Its enduro-focused design is intended to provide steering support and control when riding demanding terrain.
At the rear, a RockShox Super Deluxe Base shock manages either 165 mm or 160 mm of travel depending on frame size. This suspension combination helps maintain traction and control across roots, rocks and uneven ground, making the Mega LE well suited to technical enduro riding, natural trails and bike park sessions.
Size-Specific Wheel Configurations and Rear Travel
Nukeproof has matched the Mega LE’s wheel configuration and rear suspension travel to its frame sizes. Small, Medium and Large models use a mixed-wheel setup with a 29 inch front wheel, 27.5 inch rear wheel and 165 mm of rear travel. This combines the rollover capability of a larger front wheel with the manoeuvrability and additional clearance of a smaller rear wheel, helping riders move around the bike through tight corners and technical sections.
XL and XXL models use 29 inch wheels at both ends with 160 mm of rear suspension travel. The larger rear wheel offers greater rollover capability, making this configuration particularly suited to riders looking for stability and momentum over rough terrain. All sizes retain the same 170 mm front suspension travel.
Shimano Deore 12-Speed Drivetrain
The Shimano Deore M6200 12-speed drivetrain provides a wide 10-51T gear range for tackling steep climbs and maintaining speed across varied terrain. A Shimano MT520 crankset with 165 mm crank arms and a 32T chainring keeps the setup straightforward, while I-Spec EV integration helps create a tidy handlebar arrangement. This dependable single-chainring drivetrain is well suited to regular mountain biking and demanding enduro riding.
Shimano Four-Piston Brakes with 203 mm Rotors
Shimano Deore M6220 four-piston hydraulic disc brakes provide powerful, controlled stopping performance for steep and technical descents. Large 203 mm Shimano RT64 Centerlock rotors are fitted at both ends, giving the braking system the leverage and heat management benefits needed for longer descents and repeated hard braking. This makes the Mega LE particularly well equipped for demanding trails and bike park riding.
Schwalbe Magic Mary Tyres and WTB Tough Wheels
The Mega LE uses WTB ST i30 Tough TCS rims paired with Shimano TC500 hubs, providing a robust wheelset for aggressive off-road riding. Schwalbe Magic Mary Trail tyres are fitted front and rear, with a Radial Ultra Soft compound front tyre prioritising grip and a conventional Soft compound rear tyre providing a balance of traction and durability.
This tyre combination is particularly well suited to technical trails where braking grip, cornering confidence and traction over wet roots, rocks and loose surfaces are important. The WTB TCS rims also provide a tubeless-compatible platform when fitted with suitable tyres, valves and sealant.
X-Fusion Manic Dropper and Nukeproof Cockpit
An X-Fusion Manic LC dropper seatpost allows riders to lower the saddle for steep descents and technical sections, providing more freedom to move around the bike. Dropper travel is matched to frame size, with 125 mm on Small, 150 mm on Medium and 170 mm on Large, XL and XXL frames. A Shimano MT500 I-Spec EV lever provides convenient handlebar operation.
The Nukeproof Electron handlebar is paired with a short 40 mm forged stem for responsive steering and control. Small and Medium frames use a 780 mm wide bar with 25 mm rise, Large frames use an 800 mm bar with 25 mm rise, and XL and XXL frames use an 800 mm bar with 35 mm rise. This size-specific approach helps tailor the cockpit to different rider requirements.
Who It’s For
The Nukeproof Mega LE is ideal for experienced mountain bikers and progressing enduro riders who want a capable, big-travel aluminium bike for technical trails, steep descents and bike park riding. Its RockShox suspension, powerful Shimano brakes and aggressive tyre specification make it particularly suitable for riders who prioritise descending confidence, durability and practical component choices. The limited-edition Kraken Blue finish also makes it an appealing option for Nukeproof enthusiasts looking for a distinctive version of the established Mega platform.
