Merida Big Nine 20 2026
Hardtail Mountain Bike
The Merida Big Nine 20 2026 is a trail-ready 29er hardtail, combining modern mountain bike geometry with Merida’s renowned aluminium frame expertise. Built for both off-road capability and everyday versatility, it’s the perfect choice for riders looking for speed, efficiency, and control on technical trails and beyond.
At the heart of the Big Nine 20 is Merida’s advanced TFS aluminium frame, crafted from double butted 6061 alloy and technoformed for durability and performance. The geometry follows the latest MTB trends, with a longer reach, shorter stem, steeper seat angle, and slacker head angle for improved handling and climbing efficiency. Internal cable routing, a tapered head tube, inboard disc brake mounts, and dropper post compatibility ensure a clean setup with future upgrade potential.
The bike is equipped with an SR Suntour XCM32 NLO coil fork offering 120mm of travel with lockout for efficient climbing. A Shimano 1×8-speed drivetrain with an 11-45T cassette provides a wide gear range for tackling steep climbs and fast descents, while Shimano MT200 hydraulic disc brakes deliver reliable stopping power in all conditions. Kenda Booster 29×2.4″ tyres add grip and stability, and Merida’s Comp CC finishing kit rounds off the build.
