Description

Merida Big Trail 600 Hardtail Mountain Bike

The Big Trail 600 is built for riders who want a hardtail that feels confident on steep descents and fast singletrack while staying efficient on long climbs. Its progressive geometry, 140 mm RockShox Pike fork and 29 in wheels give it the stability and control of a modern trail bike, with the simplicity and direct feel of a hardtail. With wide range Shimano 12 speed gearing, powerful brakes and aggressive tyres, it is ready for technical trails and all day adventures.

Key Features

  • Progressive trail geometry with 64 degree head angle and 76.5 degree seat angle

  • RockShox Pike 140 mm suspension fork

  • Shimano Deore 1×12 drivetrain

  • 29 in wheels with Maxxis Dissector and Minion tyres

  • Merida Expert TR dropper seatpost

  • Shimano XT M8120 hydraulic disc brakes

Progressive Trail Geometry

A slack 64 degree head angle and long reach give stability on steep, rough terrain. The steep 76.5 degree seat angle keeps climbing efficient, helping you stay centred on technical ascents.

140 mm RockShox Control

The RockShox Pike fork provides smooth, controlled travel for rocky trails and fast descents. It adds confidence when the terrain gets rough while keeping the front end precise.

Wide Range Drivetrain

Shimano Deore 1×12 delivers reliable shifting with a broad gear range for steep climbs and long days out. It is simple, durable and easy to maintain.

Trail Ready Components

29 in wheels roll quickly over obstacles, and the Maxxis Dissector and Minion tyres offer strong grip on mixed terrain. The Merida Expert TR dropper post gives on the fly saddle adjustment, and Shimano XT M8120 brakes provide powerful, consistent stopping.

2025 Model Compared To 2026

The 2025 Big Trail 600 shares the same frame, geometry, suspension and drivetrain as the 2026 model. The key difference is braking performance. The 2025 version is equipped with Shimano XT M8120 brakes, giving stronger power and better modulation than the brakes fitted to the 2026 model. Riders who want maximum stopping control on steep, technical trails will appreciate the XT upgrade on the 2025 build.
