As one of the most respected aero bikes in the peloton, the latest Reacto has been meticulously refined to maximise aerodynamic gains while improving ride quality. Wider tyres enhance comfort on rougher roads, and a series of marginal-gain design upgrades counteract any aerodynamic trade-offs. Using advanced Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), Merida re-engineered key areas for optimal airflow – from integrating the front Disc Cooler neatly behind the fork to positioning the rear disc caliper within the rear triangle. Even the bolt-through axles were redesigned, incorporating the thread directly into the fork dropout to reduce drag. The result is a bike capable of sustaining 45 km/h with just 209 watts of effort, setting a new standard for speed efficiency.
