- Fox DHX2 Factory Coil Shock
- Shimano XT M8250 Di2 Drivetrain
Lighter Is Better
The latest Nomad trims 86 grams from the previous generation thanks to a slimmed down downtube and a refined carbon layup throughout the frame. This reduction isn’t just about chasing numbers – removing material in key areas increases compliance, helping the bike track the ground more smoothly on long, rough descents. You’ll feel the difference in your hands and feet at the bottom of the trail, and even more the next day when fatigue hasn’t stacked up.
Small Changes, Big Difference
While the silhouette remains familiar, the new Nomad benefits from subtle but meaningful refinements. The head angle is now slightly slacker, matching the Bullit at 63.6 degrees in Hi and 63.3 degrees in Lo. Santa Cruz also reworked the kinematics of the tough, tuneable VPP suspension to deliver better all round performance. Reduced anti rise keeps the suspension active under braking, while lower anti squat improves traction, pedalling efficiency and comfort over square edge hits. After extensive tyres on dirt testing, the result is a Nomad that encourages you to open it up and let it run.
Performance
With Factory level suspension and Shimano’s smooth, precise XT Di2 shifting, the Nomad XT Di2 Coil is built for riders who want a bike that climbs efficiently and descends with total authority. The coil shock adds plush, consistent support on long, demanding runs, while the refined geometry and VPP platform deliver a calmer, more predictable feel when the trail gets rough.
Who It’s For
Enduro racers, bike park riders and gravity focused trail riders who want a tough, capable machine with the reliability of Shimano Di2 and the sensitivity of a coil shock setup.
