Wahoo Launches ELEMNT ACE – a NEW Category Defining Cycling Computer

Brilliantly vivid. Effortlessly intuitive. The all-new ELEMNT ACE is Wahoo’s largest and most powerful bike computer

As smartphone technology has constantly evolved and improved over the years, so too has the expectations of consumers. The Wahoo ELEMNT ACE will change the way riders think about cycling computers, meeting the needs of today’s riders, by combining the size and usability of a smartphone, with the fit-for-purpose form factor and features of a bike computer.

  • A super-sized, Best-In-Class Screen: that will be largest in category, with best-in-class TFT screen to enable better visibility for navigation and data visualisation
  • Up to 30+ hour Battery Life: this will keep riders connected and informed from start to finish.
  • CATEGORY FIRST – Integrated Wind Sensor: introducing Wahoo Wind Dynamics™ (WWD) to measure the effects of air resistance in real time and post ride, to quantify how wind and drafting are impacting your ride and measure one of cycling’s most critical forces
  • Improved User Experience: new touchscreen to complement buttons for ease of use, plus brand new modern operating system to make it easier than ever to control your ride, and a premium aluminium mount included
  • Enhanced Navigation: improved mapping features and turn by turn audio navigation to allow riders to navigate with confidence and ease
  • Easier, More intuitive Setup and Sync via the Wahoo App: new cloud-based sync, for a seamless, simple and intuitive user experience

Enhanced Navigation

When it comes to navigation, modern cycling computers often fall short of consumer expectations set by platforms like Google and Apple Maps, but Wahoo is raising the bar with enhanced navigation capabilities. Drawing inspiration from motoring navigation systems, Wahoo introduces voice turn-by-turn directions to the ELEMNT ACE, reducing reliance on the screen, improving safety and helping riders stay on course at all times. The large screen with high-contrast colour palettes delivers a rich map visual that is easy to quickly interpret while riding. Wahoo also eliminates long-standing frustrations related to loading, searching, and transferring routes, offering a seamless experience via its intuitive touchscreen and the new Wahoo app.

A Best-In-Class Screen:

Small screens with low clarity cannot deliver the same experience as a smartphone, which is why ELEMNT ACE will have the largest screen size of any cycling computer on the market. Equipped with a 3.8in, 3:2 aspect screen, the ACE is made with a best-in-class transflective thin-film transistor (TFT) screen. The wider screen aspect ratio allows better peripheral vision on the map when navigating than traditional narrow screens. The high-DPI screen also has excellent anti-glare and anti-reflective properties offering crystal-clear visuals and superb readability in changeable outdoor conditions. The latest in screen technology also offers a near-unlimited colour palette, allowing for optimal background and font colour combinations to also aid in maximising readability.

30+ hour Battery Life and Category FIRST – Integrated Wind Sensor

With powerful dual-band GPS tracking, real-time data and up to 30 hours of battery life, ELEMNT ACE is designed to keep riders connected and informed from start to finish.

Aerodynamics play a critical role in cycling performance, yet until now, quantifying wind impact has been limited to expensive, complex, proprietary devices. For the first time ever Wahoo has incorporated a revolutionary pressure sensor into the ELEMNT ACE via a front-facing opening, enabling cyclists to measure the effects of air resistance in real time. The ELEMENT ACE gives riders real-time insight into their AeroBoost (when groundspeed is aided by tailwinds or drafting) and AeroDrag (when groundspeed is hindered by headwinds). These metrics can guide drafting positioning and quantify the sensation of wind felt by riders. Post-ride, ELEMNT ACE provides Wahoo Wind Dynamics™ (WWD) to the Wahoo App that can be used to analyse performance and to help understand wind speed and its impacts on performance. With ACE’s integrated wind sensor, Wahoo continues to increase value for consumers by making this crucial data accessible to riders at a reduced cost. This innovative addition opens the door to a whole new world of insights, previously unseen in the cycling computer market.

Improved User Experience

Cycling computers are typically tricky to navigate and interact with. Common functions are often nested within complex menu trees and core actions require unnecessary rider inputs. To help combat these common pain points, for the first time in Wahoo’s history the ELEMNT ACE takes advantage of touchscreen technology, but takes it to the next level. The ACE has a responsive screen that works even with non-touch-enabled gloves and in wet conditions too for effortless interaction in diverse terrain and conditions . Physical buttons are still included for added safety and versatility, ensuring riders are offered the best of both worlds. The interface is sleek and intuitive, building on Wahoo’s legacy of making products that are easy to use. Ensuring the ACE remains easy to navigate Wahoo has introduced quick swipe dashboards and streamlined menus that eliminate unnecessary steps, minimising customer inputs and delivering a faster, smoother in-ride experience. Additionally, ELEMNT ACE arrives with a premium aluminium mount, plus tether included, to complete a high value consumer package.

Easier and more Intuitive Setup and Sync via the Wahoo App

ELEMNT ACE will be the first of Wahoo ELEMNT bike computer range to set up and sync via the cloud-based Wahoo App, where the functionality, speed, and utility will be greatly increased. Being cloud-based, this makes for a seamless, simple and intuitive user experience – with changes made in the Wahoo app, will automatically upload to the ELEMNT ACE when in use. In addition, all settings that are stored in the cloud can be used across Wahoo devices for riders with multiple Wahoo bike computers. Leveraging the Wahoo App in this way, riders can enjoy a new, intuitive and streamlined user experience that continues to set Wahoo apart. ELEMNT ACE is the first device in the Wahoo portfolio to support Workout Profiles which enable users to configure unique screens for each type of cycling, such as gravel riding, road riding, and mountain biking. ACE also seamlessly syncs with other Wahoo ecosystem products, including the newly released TRACKR HEART RATE, providing a fully connected and optimised cycling experience.

Effortlessly Ahead – The All New Scott Addict RC

The all new Scott Addict RC is here and it been re engineered and designed to defy gravity and elevate your performance!

The Addict RC has alway been the ultimate in uncompromising lightweight performance, with each new model pushing the boundaries of engineering. With that the new Addict RC is Scott’s lightest production race bike ever, boasting a staggering 640g frame weight, which is an unbelievable 300g lighter than the previous incarnation.

Whether you’re attacking steep climbs or sprinting for the finish line, every aspect of this bike was meticulously crafted with one thing in mind – leave everyone else in the dust.

Lightweight Expertise

SCOTT’s commitment to crafting lightweight bikes is inseparable from its expertise of carbon technology. For the all-new Addict RC, Scott took their usual approach to carbon road bike manufacturing and flipped it. Drawing inspiration from their approach to mountain bikes, they meticulously reevaluated their moulding techniques, seeking innovative ways to enhance performance on the road.

A new way of carbon moulding enabled Scott to produce a completely hollow frame without any dead-end tube segments. This process is quite unique in the cycling industry and it’s only applicable if the frame design is tailor made for this manufacturing method.

Thanks to the smooth surface of the inflatable core which forms the gold of the frame, the inside of the frame is super clean and does not have any voids or wrinkles. Due to this precise internal shape, all the excessive resin is extracted from the frame during the moulding process, leaving only what’s really necessary for stiffness and strength.

The consistent moulding pressure across the complete frame surface ensures optimal compaction of the layup and makes it possible to avoid any additional reinforcement while reducing the thickness down to approximately 0.6mm in some areas of the frame. The outcome? A remarkable 300g reduction in the frame kit weight compared to its predecessor, and without any compromise on race performance.

Optimised Geometry

The new Addict RC’s geometry has undergone a comprehensive redesign to meet the desire of modern riders, accommodating wider tires (34mm tire clearance) while enhancing overall handling consistency across all sizes. Scott adapted the ADDICT RC’s geometry to provide agile handling for tight cornering and quick steering, whilst keeping the bike stable enough to resist sudden gusts of wind and to avoid feeling nervous at high descending speeds.

Whether you’re a professional rider or chasing after the local KOMs/QOMs on the weekends, the new Addict RC promises heightened agility and responsiveness, ensuring an unparalleled riding experience.

Comfort

The integration of the advanced moulding technology and a redesigned seat post clamping system allows for thinner seat tube walls and reduced material usage in the seat tube.

Paired with the new innovative Syncros SP R101 CF seatpost, the lower thickness of the seat tube enhances flexibility and promotes added comfort during longer rides. Furthermore, the new Addict RC offers a generous 34mm tire clearance, ensuring enhanced comfort even on the most challenging surfaces.

Syncros Integration

The introduction of the new Addict RC set the stage for the development of a new innovative Syncros cockpit, the IC-R100-SL. Here Scott’s goal was to create an aerodynamic handlebar. This achieved by incorporating a subtle flare on the drops to seamlessly blend with the brake levers, resulting in enhanced watt savings but also improved handling.

The new Syncros integrated cockpit was also optimised to further reduce material. Thanks to a new stem clamping design and an optimised carbon layup, it’s now about 40g lighter at the same strength and stiffness.

As standard on all Scott bikes, Addict RC cockpits offer a great variety of computer and accessory mounts. They have even developed a new computer mount their cockpits. It weighs only 12g which is almost 70% lighter than their standard CNC machined Computer Mounts.

The New Whyte E-Lyte Evo – Full-power, full-torque and Whyte’s lowest centre of gravity

Hot on the heels of the previous highly acclaimed, E-Lyte Platform, Whyte have launched the next evolution in their award winning E-Lyte line, the E-Lyte Evo. With a full carbon frame and their lowest centre of gravity ever for delivering the best handling and ride feel with full-power capability – all the time – so you get more out of every ride.

Now with Bosch’s new full-torque, full-power GEN 5 Performance Line CX motor the new E-Lyte Evo delivers more runs, more grins, and more fun.

Time saver, fun maker

Comprising of two models – the E-Lyte EVO RS, and the E-Lyte EVO Stag Works. The new E-Lyte range offers full-power, full-torque eMountain Biking in a lightweight package that aims to deliver the very best handling and ride experience possible so riders can make the most of their precious time, every ride.

The New E-Lyte Evo, Mass Where it Matters

Whyte were the first in the world to pioneer a low centre of gravity approach on their first-ever eMTB, the E-150, that launched in 2019. Delivering a radically low centre of gravity was the solution to unlock the best handling possible. Now for the E-Lyte EVO, they’ve set a whole new benchmark.

The new E-Lyte EVO RS has a 21% lower centre of gravity than Whyte’s ‘Bike Of The Year’ award-winning E-160 RSX, while the MX-wheeled E-Lyte EVO Stag Works bike is 34% lower. This is the lowest of any eMTB Whyte have ever made or measured and we believe this is the lowest centre of gravity of any eMTB.

Why is a low centre of gravity a good thing?

Developing eMTBs with a low centre of gravity minimises the effect the additional major masses have (principally, the motor and battery) on how the bike rides and handles for the rider.

A bike with a low centre of gravity will inspire more confidence, be more agile and easier to turn, and also be more stable and predictable when things get crazy. Ultimately, it’ll help you have a better, more enjoyable and more inspiring ride.

The New E-Lyte EVO features:

No short cuts, no half measures. Just the best performance and parts blended to deliver you an exceptional ride. these include:

Carbon fibre frame

A full carbon fibre frameset is beautifully light and reassuringly strong and comes with a lifetime warranty*.

Bosch CX power

Bosch’s all-new Performance Line CX full-torque (85Nm), full-power (600W) motor is quieter, lighter, and even more refined.

400Wh internal battery

Bosch’s low-profile PowerTube 400Wh battery is stealthily integrated so you can fly under the radar – as well as down the trails.

250Wh range extender

Every ELyte EVO comes with Bosch’s PowerMore range extender, so you can enjoy a total of 650Wh of battery capacity for bigger rides.

Our lowest centre of gravity

A lower centre of gravity delivers a better handling and more confidence-inspiring ride in all situations – with and without the PowerMore on.

29er or MX wheels

Choose from 29er wheels front and rear (ELyte EVO RS) or MX – aka ‘mullet’ or ‘mixed’ 29in front, 27.5in rear – wheels (ELyte Stag Works).

Geometry adjustment

Change the geo from its ‘High’ to ‘Low’ setting – to slacken it by 0.6º and lower the bottom bracket by 8mm – for more gravity-friendly handling.

Short 155mm cranks

Coupling shorter cranks with the lowest centre of gravity delivers exceptional handling with the ability to pedal through the rough.

Takes two bottles

The frame takes both a full 750ml bottle (using the bottle cage adaptor, included), and an upper 400ml Fidlock bottle (on sizes M-XL).

Uncompromised parts

Pitch-perfect, trail-proven components that are up the job and won’t let you down. No corners cut to shave off a few grams to grab a headline.

Zero distractions

Bosch’s Mini Remote and System Controller deliver a clean cockpit with everything you need to focus on the ride but nothing you don’t.

Switchable rear wheel

Whichever ELyte EVO you choose, you can also swap the rear wheelsize by changing the ‘Shape. It’ link to go from MX to 29er, or 29er to MX.

Suspension perfection

Whyte custom-tuned rear suspension delivers perfect performance, wherever the trail takes you.

Your choice of routing

Every ELyte EVO frame comes ready to give you the choice as to how you want to run your cable or hose routing – internally or externally.

Smartly connected

Personalise and manage your bike how you want, and get the most from your riding, using the rich features of Bosch’s eBike Flow companion app.

The E-Lyte EVO range

The E-Lyte EVO platform was conceived three years ago when we began development of the E-Lyte range. By designing the chassis around Bosch’s latest two-bolt motor attachments, they future-proofed the frame to be able to take both Bosch’s new full-power, full-torque CX motor, as well as the lightweight, mid-torque SX motor (as used on the E-Lyte range, launched last year). There are two models in the E-Lyte EVO range:

E-Lyte EVO RS – £7250

Designed to perform, engineered to last

Whyte have designed, tested, and proven every E-Lyte EVO in their native UK, riding all year round through the best and the worst of conditions. Riding through the foulest, bearing-killing winters and their bike clogging mud means we’ve added a whole host of weather-proofing touches that may not grab headlines, but will keep you riding sweeter and for longer, come what may.

Weather Proofing Design Features

Fully weather-sealed

Fully weather-sealed with a seat-clamp gaiter, and sealed cable and hose ports to keep the water out.

Forward-facing charge port

The charge port is positioned at the base and to the front of the seat tube, out of the firing line of the rear wheel spray.

Yoke gaiter

A gaiter on the chainstay yoke prevents against sand, grit and debris getting behind the suspension yoke.

2.5in tyre clearance

Generous mud clearance for up to 2.5in tyres between the seat and chainstays to prevent mud and gunk slowing you down.

Armoured frame

Frame protection on the lower downtube and chainstay help keep the frame in great shape.

Skid plate

A robust motor ‘sump’ skid-plate protects the Bosch Performance Line CX motor from strikes.

Pivot bearing protection

Phosphate-coated, marine grease packed bearings maximise service life through even the worst conditions and come with a lifetime warranty.

Lifetime frame + pivot bearing warranties

Standing behind what Whyte manufacture for the long haul they offer:

  • A lifetime extended warranty against materials and manufacturing defects on all frames for the original owner
  • A lifetime warranty on all suspension pivot bearings
  • A one-year warranty on parts
  • A one-year cosmetic warranty on paint and decals
  • Just register your bike for free at whytebikes.com within 28 days of purchase to activate your lifetime warranties.

New lifetime frame warranty

Alongside the launch of E-Lyte EVO, Whyte also announces that it is now backing all its 2025 collection bikes purchased on or after 1st November 2024 – including the award-winning ELyte eMTB and T-160 RS trail mountain bikes – with a lifetime frame warranty for the original owner, in addition to the lifetime pivot bearing warranty the brand has always offered.

All New Bosch x All New Merida – 2025 eOne Eighty & eOne Sixty Mountain Bikes

The 2025 Merida eONE-SIXTY SL and eONE-EIGHTY series are both high-performance electric mountain bikes, each designed for enduro and all-mountain trails but with distinct specs and builds to suit different riding preferences.

Ahead of todays launch, Wheelbase were invited out to Girona by Merida to see the latest iterations of the eOne Eighty and eOne Sixty SL. Heres what we learnt;

Merida eONE-Sixty SL 2025

The eONE-SIXTY SL is a powerful and versatile eMTB with a lightweight Bosch performance line CX motor and a lightweight 400Wh removable battery, giving excellent range without adding weight. SL – Super Lightweight.

It features a mixed-wheel setup (29-inch front, 27.5-inch rear) for balanced handling. The frame is built on Merida’s CF4 Carbon offering 160mm of rear suspension travel with a 160mm Rockshox Lyric fork. This model also includes Merida’s adjustable AGILOMETER dropper post to customize fit for stability or agility based on riding style. Ideal for technical trails, the eONE-SIXTY SL includes Maxxis Assegai tires, a choice of Shimano & Sram drivetrains, and four-piston hydraulic brakes, providing a well-rounded setup for intense trail performance. With the base model being on 1kg heavier than the 10k model it’s heavily spec’d across the range.

The range topping eOne-Sixty SL 10K is loaded with the best equipment available; a full fat spec for enduro riding out of the box, not a stripped down spec to reach a weight target. Its progressive geometry offers enduro focused handling with the perfect combination of stability, climbing prowess and manoeuvrability. Add the punchy 55Nm of torque from the Bosch Performance Line SX drive unit and the eOne-Sixty SL offers active riders the perfect balance between human powered handling and eMTB assistance.

If you’re the type of rider who likes to pedal hard and use the assistance for maximum fun on the trail the eOne-Sixty SL is the bike for you. It represents a new breed of e-mountain bike, combining the poise of an unassisted bike with the power of a Bosch SX drive unit to help you ride further and faster.

With a lightweight full carbon frame, 160mm of well balanced travel and a build that blends hard hitting performance with low weight, it blurs the line between conventional and assisted riding.

Assistance is courtesy of the latest compact Bosch Performance Line SX motor with 55Nm and a fully integrated 400 Wh battery, a 250Wh range extender can be purchased separately. Approx overall weight 19.5kg.

Merida eONE-EIGHTY 2025

For riders looking for a robust all-mountain eMTB, the eONE-EIGHTY is equipped with Bosch’s Performance Line CX motor and an 800Wh battery. With this model, you get excellent torque and battery life, especially for longer climbs and rugged descents. The eONE-EIGHTY‘s aluminum frame is also durable and offered in multiple specs. It has 160mm of rear suspension travel and uses components like Shimano Cues or SRAM GX depending on the model level, plus Maxxis tires for rugged terrain. This series is heavier and optimized for maximum power rather than agility, making it ideal for long-range rides in steep and demanding conditions.

The eOne-Eighty 900 leads the way for the eOne Eighty Series. It combines a hard hitting 180mm travel aluminium frame with a powerful Bosch CX drive unit, an 800Wh battery and some top notch kit. The RockShox Zeb Ultimate fork and Vivid Air rear shock are capable of chewing through rock gardens leaving you hungry for more and the proven DT Swiss HX 1700 wheelset will shrug off hits all day long. Running a mullet set up means this bike has the agility to dance as well as destroy; our Agilometer system allows you to choose your size according to your riding style.

The eOne-Eighty is for the heavy hitters, bike park senders and big mountain brawlers. It’s ready to ride the biggest lines and burliest tracks and you can say goodbye to waiting in the uplift queue because it can rip and repeat all day long thanks to a big 800Wh battery and Bosch CX power. It’s Merida’s longest travel e-bike ever, with 180mm of suspension at either end on a robust aluminium frame. Add coil shock compatibility, mullet only setup plus a whole host of other features and getting rowdy is where the eOne-Eighty starts, not finishes.

It’s also Merida’s first e-MTB to use the Bosch Performance Line CX drive unit, offering powerful assistance with 85Nm on tap. There’s a serious amount of range on offer too, thanks to the new 800Wh battery and the option to add a 250Wh Bosch range extender. You can easily remove the battery for off-bike charging or replacement on a really big ride.

It’s rated Category 5 (bike park and downhill approved), so you can get stuck into as many bike park laps or downhill tracks as you like. Approx overall weight 26kg
