Introducing the Merida Lithos | New Bosch Powered E-MTB

Brand new Bosch powered full suspension electric mountain bikes

Merida has launched a completely new Lithos range for Model Year 2027. These are full suspension, long travel electric mountain bikes built around lightweight carbon frames, modern geometry and the latest Bosch drive systems. The goal is simple. Give riders a tough, fast and confidence inspiring electric enduro bike that can handle the steepest trails in the UK and beyond.

All three models share the same CF3 carbon frame with 170 mm front and 174 mm rear travel. The bikes use a mullet wheel setup as standard, with the option to run full 29 inch wheels. Every model comes with a removable 800 Wh battery for long days and big climbs. The geometry is designed to maximise grip, stability and speed, with a longer chainstay, higher stack and sizing that lets riders fine tune fit and handling.

The Lithos platform is built for riders who want a reliable, race capable e-MTB with a lifetime frame warranty and components chosen specifically for weekends in the hills.

The Lineup

Lithos 6000

£6,500 | Shop Lithos 6000

The Lithos 6000 is the most accessible model in the Lithos range, but it still carries the same core performance as the higher tier bikes. It uses the CF3 carbon frame with the long travel suspension layout shared across the lineup. The result is a tough and capable e‑enduro bike that feels stable on steep ground and confident at speed.

A Bosch Performance Line CX motor delivers 120 Nm of torque with an 800 Wh battery for long range support. This gives the bike strong climbing power and enough capacity for big days in the hills. RockShox ZEB Select and a Vivid shock provide controlled damping and predictable support on rough terrain. A SRAM Eagle 70 Transmission drivetrain adds smooth shifting under load, while Reynolds 309 Enduro Comp wheels keep the build tough and dependable.

For riders who want a carbon e‑enduro bike without the premium price tag, the Lithos 6000 offers high value and real trail performance.

Key Features

  • CF3 carbon frame with long travel enduro geometry
  • Same chassis and suspension layout as higher tier models
  • Bosch Performance Line CX motor with 120 Nm torque

Lithos 8000

£8,500 | Shop Lithos 8000

The Lithos 8000 builds on the same CF3 carbon frame and long travel layout as the rest of the range but adds a clear jump in performance. It moves to top level suspension and wireless shifting, giving the bike a more sensitive and controlled feel on rough terrain. The geometry stays stable and confident, making it a strong choice for riders who want a race ready setup.

A Bosch Performance Line CX R motor delivers strong support with the same 800 Wh battery used across the range. This keeps the bike powerful on steep climbs and capable of long days on the hill. The RockShox ZEB Ultimate fork and Vivid Ultimate shock offer improved sensitivity and damping control. A SRAM GX Eagle AXS drivetrain provides fast, precise shifting under load, while DT Swiss HX1700 wheels add strength for aggressive riding.

Lithos 10K

£11,000 | Shop Lithos 10K

The Lithos 10K is the flagship model in the range. It keeps the same CF3 carbon frame and long travel layout but pairs it with the most advanced suspension and drivetrain Merida offers. This build is designed for riders who want the highest level of control, efficiency and technology on steep and technical terrain.

A Fox Podium inverted fork and Fox DHX Live Valve NEO coil shock give the bike automatic damping control. The system reacts to the trail in real time to keep the bike stable, fast and efficient. The Bosch Performance Line CX R motor and 800 Wh battery deliver strong support for long days and steep climbs. A SRAM X0 Eagle AXS drivetrain adds fast wireless shifting, while DT Swiss HXC 1500 carbon wheels keep the build light and responsive.

NEW: Orbea Wild LT Full Sus E-MTB With Avinox M2 & M2S

Orbea Wild LT 2027 Range Overview

The Orbea Wild LT returns for 2027 with a major update. The long travel Wild platform is now paired with the new DJI Avinox motor system. Riders have been waiting for this combination. The Wild is already known for its handling, suspension feel and stability. The Avinox system adds more power, more range and a cleaner interface while keeping the character that made the Wild so popular.

If you’re wondering what LT stands for, it’s Long Travel. All Wild LT models share the same 170 mm travel and Orbea’s Concentric Boost suspension layout. Every bike uses the 800 Wh battery, the Avinox M2 (H20) or M2S RS drive unit, the DP100 display and the same modern enduro geometry. Tyres, cockpit and dropper posts stay consistent across the range. This means the ride position and handling feel the same no matter which model you choose.

The RS Tune has made the motor significantly more sensitive to pedal force and rotation, meaning support arrives instantly when it’s needed most. This will be great for those really technical climbs that can be found in the Lakes, deploying pedal ratcheting and hill starts is necessary especially when hunting for traction. Combine this with the massive 130Nm of torque (150Nm with Superboost), the Wild delivers powerful, controlled suport with instant reaction to rider input. We can’t wait to get this on the trail and get a feel for it.

How do you improve a serial award-winning EMTB? Built on the new Rallon’s race-proven suspension kinematics and incredibly low centre of gravity, the Wild LT has been built for the most demanding riding. With handling and control at the centre of the new platform’s ethos.  Speed demands stability. The low centre of mass keeps things calm when the riding gets intense. To acheive this, Orbea have lowered the shock mount, upper linkage and top tube. A brilliant side-effect of this is lowering the standover height so you’re able to move freely over the bike. Nice!

The differences come from frame material, suspension level, wheelsets, brakes and drivetrain. This creates clear steps in performance and price.

Stock will be extremely limited, you can register your interest to be the first to know when new stock lands, this also helps use know which bikes our customers are most interested in, so we can keep our warehouse and shops stocked with the right gear. Register Your Interest

What Is The Avinox M2s RS?

M2S RS has been delivered with Orbea directly, it’s been tuned specifically for use with the Orbea Wild LT. Tuned in a way that improves and compliments the geometry and feel for the bike. A unique and exciting prospect because it shows Orbea really care about how their bike handles. They could have put the original drive unit in and sent it on it’s way, but they didn’t. They took two great products in the bike and the drive unit and combined them thoughtfully to create what’s looking to be a pretty special bike. EVOC Bike Travel Bags | Buying Guide

EVOC Bike Travel Bag Buying Guide

How to choose the right EVOC travel bag for your bike.

Travelling with your bike can be stressful. Whether you are flying abroad for a training camp, heading to the Alps for a mountain bike holiday, or taking your bike across the UK for a race weekend, the right bike travel bag makes all the difference. EVOC are one of the most trusted names in bike transport, known for strong protection, smart layouts and easy handling through airports and stations.

This guide explains why you need a bike travel bag, which EVOC model suits your bike, and where each bag works best. It also includes detailed breakdowns of the most popular EVOC bags, including the Road Bike Travel Bag Pro, Mountain Bike Travel Bag Pro, Bike Travel Bag Pro 26, Bike Travel Bag XL and the standard Bike Travel Bag.

Why You Need A Travel Bag For Your Bike

1. Protection during flights and long‑distance travel

Airline baggage systems are rough. Impacts, pressure, drops and conveyor belts can damage frames, wheels and components. A proper bike travel bag protects your bike from:

  • side impacts
  • crushing forces
  • drivetrain damage
  • wheel misalignment
  • cockpit stress

EVOC bags use reinforced bases, polycarbonate shells, internal supports and stabilisers to keep your bike safe from airport handling.

2. Faster packing and easier reassembly

A good travel bag reduces the amount of disassembly needed. EVOC bags are designed so you can:

  • keep your cockpit in place (Road Bike Bag Pro)
  • rotate handlebars instead of removing them (MTB Bag Pro)
  • mount the bike on a stable internal stand
  • pack wheels safely in separate compartments

This saves time at home and at your destination.

3. Easier movement through airports and stations

EVOC bags use:

  • smooth rolling skate wheels
  • balanced carry points
  • CLIP ON WHEEL 3.0 systems
  • sturdy chassis designs

This makes them far easier to move than hard cases or cheaper soft bags.

4. Compatibility with modern bikes

Today’s bikes have:

  • integrated cockpits
  • internal cable routing
  • dropper posts
  • long wheelbases
  • wide tyres

EVOC bags are built around these modern standards.

Which EVOC Bag Do You Need?

Choosing the right bag depends on:

Your bike type

  • Road / triathlon → Road Bike Travel Bag Pro
  • Trail / enduro / all‑mountain → MTB Travel Bag Pro
  • Multiple bikes / mixed disciplines → Bike Travel Bag Pro 26
  • Fat bikes / plus bikes → Bike Travel Bag XL
  • General MTB / gravel / BMX → Bike Travel Bag (280 L or 200 L)

Your travel style

  • Flying abroad → choose maximum protection (Road Pro, MTB Pro, Pro 26)
  • UK trips by car or train → lighter, collapsible options (Bike Travel Bag, XL)
  • Frequent travel → choose bags with replaceable wheels and sturdy chassis

How much disassembly you want

Tour de France 2027 Lake District Stage – Route, Dates and Wheelbase Viewing Plans

The Tour De France Is Coming To Cumbria

Tour de France 2027 Lake District Stage – Route, Dates and Wheelbase Viewing Plans

The Tour de France Is Coming to Cumbria

It’s official: Cumbria will host two stages of the men’s 2027 Tour de France Grand Départ. Fans, teams and a global audience will be watching as the world’s biggest bike race arrives in Great Britain, with both Carlisle and Keswick taking centre stage.

With over 120 years of history, the Tour de France remains the world’s largest annual sporting event. You don’t need a ticket to attend, so spectators can enjoy the full spectacle free of charge as the race passes through some of the most scenic landscapes in the UK.

Stage One – Edinburgh to Carlisle

Friday 2 July 2027

The opening stage of the 2027 Tour will travel from Edinburgh to Carlisle, bringing the first day of racing to a dramatic finish in Cumbria’s historic border city. Huge crowds are expected as the peloton arrives in England for the first time in the race.

Stage Two – Keswick to Liverpool

Saturday 3 July 2027 – 223 km

Stage Two begins in Keswick, right in the heart of the Lake District National Park. From there, the peloton will cover the first 80 km entirely within the Lakes, passing some of the region’s most recognisable landscapes:

  • Keswick – Stage start
  • Grasmere
  • Ambleside
  • Windermere
  • Milnthorpe
  • Beetham
  • Into Lancashire
  • Finish: The Strand, Liverpool

This route showcases the Lakes at their best, with fast roads, iconic scenery and huge potential for roadside crowds. Because the early kilometres are so compact, spectators can move between multiple viewing points with careful planning. (More details to follow, once we’ve mapped out the perfect viewing plan)

A Free, Family‑Friendly Spectacle

The Tour de France is famous for its atmosphere as much as its racing. Expect:

  • The publicity caravan, handing out gifts and entertaining fans
  • A festival feel across the Lakes
  • Crowds lining the route from early morning
  • A rare chance to see the world’s best riders up close

Cumbria’s landscapes will provide one of the most scenic backdrops of the entire 2027 Grand Départ.

Wheelbase Viewing Party – Early Plans

With Stage Two passing close to Kendal, Wheelbase is exploring the idea of hosting a Tour de France 2027 viewing party at the store. Early ideas include:

  • Big‑screen live coverage
  • A morning ride‑out before the race reaches the Lakes
  • Coffee, food and a relaxed community atmosphere, in the Mill Yard.
  • Family‑friendly activities
  • Tour‑themed offers and in‑store events

Plans will develop as more details are released, but the aim is simple: create the best place in the Lakes to watch the biggest race in the world.

Visit the Staveley Store

Cycling in Cumbria

Cumbria is home to some of the best riding in the UK. There’s something for everyone:

  • Long‑distance routes like the C2C, Hadrian’s Cycleway, Bay Cycle Way and Lakes & Dales Loop
  • Mountain bike trails at Grizedale and Whinlatter
  • Family‑friendly off‑road routes such as the Keswick to Threlkeld Railway Trail

From flat paths to big climbs, the area has routes for all abilities.

Stay Updated

As the race approaches, we’ll share more details on timings, maps and the best local viewing spots. If the Wheelbase viewing party goes ahead, you’ll hear about it first.

July 2027 is shaping up to be a landmark moment for cycling in the Lake District. The Tour de France is coming – and we can’t wait to welcome everyone to the Lakes.

Whyte Secta 26 MX | All New for 2026

Whyte Secta 26 MX – All New for 2026

A next‑step hardtail built to unlock confidence, control and progression | Shop Now

Whyte’s new Secta 26 MX arrives for 2026 with one clear goal: give young riders a proper trail bike that feels stable, capable and fun from the very first ride. Designed for riders aged 12 years and up (137cm-152cm), it brings real mountain bike performance to the junior category, with geometry, components and sizing chosen to help early‑teen riders grow their skills without being held back by heavy frames or under‑specced parts.

The standout feature is the MX wheel setup – a 27.5″ wheel up front for stability and confidence, paired with a 26″ rear wheel for agility and control. This mixed approach creates a balanced ride that feels planted on rough ground yet easy to manoeuvre through corners, jumps and tight trail features. It also allows Whyte to fit a premium 27.5″ air‑sprung fork, giving young riders the same tunable suspension performance found on adult trail bikes.

The result is a bike that feels fast, predictable and confidence‑inspiring everywhere from local woods to bike park laps.

Built for young riders who want to progress

The Secta 26 MX is built around a lightweight, multi‑butted 6061 T6 aluminium frame designed specifically for junior riders. This isn’t a scaled‑down adult frame – the tubing, geometry and fit are all tailored to keep weight low and handling sharp. Climbs feel easier, long rides feel more manageable and technical sections feel less intimidating.

Weather‑sealed cable routing keeps things running smoothly through winter, and the frame is dropper‑post ready, giving riders a clear upgrade path as their confidence grows.

Whyte Secta 26 MX

Whyte have created a smart MX wheel setup that helps young riders push further with confidence.

Tunable suspension for real trail control

Whyte has fitted the Secta with a Suntour MAG32 100mm air‑sprung fork. For young riders, this matters. Air suspension allows proper setup for lighter bodyweights, giving balanced support and predictable handling that coil forks often can’t match.

  • Air spring adjustment for rider‑specific tuning
  • Rebound adjustment for controlled, confident handling
  • Hydraulic lock‑out for efficient climbing and smooth surfaces

It’s a setup that helps riders stay in control on roots, rocks and rough ground, while keeping the ride comfortable and fun.

Cannondale SuperSix EVO 3 (2025) – Now £2,699 (33% Off RRP)

Was £4,000 • Now £2,699 | Shop Now

So light. So fast. So aero. The evolution of speed.

The 2025 Cannondale SuperSix EVO 3 has just become one of the best value performance road bikes in the UK. With the arrival of the latest SuperSix generation, this outgoing model now sits at an incredible £2,699, a full 33 percent off its original £4,000 RRP. For a bike with this level of engineering, integration, and electronic shifting, the value is almost unmatched.

This is the same SuperSix EVO platform that has defined modern race bike performance: ultra light, wind tunnel refined, and razor sharp on the road. It is built to make you faster everywhere, on climbs, on the flats, through corners, and when you are emptying the tank on the final straight.

Thanks to the new model release, it is now available at a price that opens the door to both ambitious beginners and seasoned riders looking for a serious upgrade.

Why This 2025 EVO 3 Is Such a Standout Deal

The SuperSix EVO 3 was already a benchmark for real world race performance. At this new price, it becomes something else entirely: a gateway to top tier speed without the top tier cost.

  • For beginners, it is a chance to start your road cycling journey on a bike that handles beautifully, shifts flawlessly, and gives you room to grow for years.
  • For experienced riders, it is a rare opportunity to step into a fully integrated, electronic equipped race bike without spending deep into the £3 to £5k bracket.

This is a bike that punches far above its new price point, and that is exactly why it is turning heads.

Key Features

  • SuperSix EVO Carbon Frameset. Lightweight, meticulously shaped, and aerodynamically refined for pure speed and real world comfort.
  • Shimano 105 Di2 12 Speed. Wireless electronic shifting that is crisp, consistent, and race ready.
  • DT Swiss R470 Wheels. Durable, responsive, and confidence inspiring on fast descents and tight corners.
  • Vision Trimax Aero Bars and Cannondale C1 Conceal Stem. A fully integrated cockpit with hidden cables and low drag shaping.
  • Supernatural Handling. Neutral race geometry that feels intuitive for new riders and precise for experienced racers.

Tech Highlights

  • Delta Steerer Technology. Reduces frontal area for improved aerodynamics and seamless cable integration.
  • Threaded BSA Bottom Bracket. Simple, reliable, and easy to service.
  • Tyre Clearance up to 30 mm. Comfort, control, or maximum responsiveness, your choice.
  • SmartSense Compatible. Ready for Cannondale’s integrated light and radar system.
  • Aero Bottle Integration (Optional). Designed to work with ReGrip Aero cages and Gripper Aero bottles for even more speed.

Who’s it for?

The SuperSix EVO 3 is built for riders who want speed, whether that is your first proper road bike or your next performance upgrade.

  • New riders will appreciate the stability, comfort, and confidence inspiring handling.
  • Club riders and racers will unlock the aerodynamic efficiency, stiffness, and precision that the EVO platform is known for.
  • KOM hunters and performance focused cyclists will love how efficiently it turns power into speed.

This is a bike that rewards every watt, no matter your experience level.

Race Proven Performance

The SuperSix EVO platform continues to deliver at the sharp end of UK racing.

In 2025, Wheelbase rider James “Jimmy the Blade” McKay rode a Shimano 105 Di2 equipped SuperSix EVO to victory at the Lincoln Grand Prix, one of the toughest races in the National Road Series. The brutal cobbles of Michaelgate are a proving ground for both rider and machine, and the EVO delivered.

What that win proved:

  • Shimano 105 Di2 is absolutely race worthy
  • Performance does not require a premium price tag
  • A well engineered bike plus a strong rider equals results

The same core technology that crossed the line first in Lincoln is exactly what you will find on the SuperSix EVO 3.

Full Specification

  • Frame: SuperSix EVO Carbon, integrated routing, BSA 68mm BB, SmartSense compatible
  • Fork: SuperSix EVO Carbon, internal routing, Delta steerer
  • Groupset: Shimano 105 Di2 R7170 2×12
  • Brakes: Shimano 105 R7170 hydraulic disc, 160/160mm rotors
  • Wheels: DT Swiss R470 db
  • Tyres: Vittoria Rubino Pro 700×25c
  • Cockpit: Vision Trimax Aero bars, Cannondale C1 Conceal stem
  • Saddle: Prologo Nago RS STN

Shop Amflow PR Carbon & Amflow PR Carbon Pro

A Frame Built for the Future

Ultra‑Light Carbon Construction

At just 2.9kg, the Amflow PR’s carbon frame sets a new benchmark for strength‑to‑weight performance. It’s stiff where it matters, compliant where it counts, and engineered to stay composed through rough, high‑speed terrain.

Progressive Geometry, Tuned to You

Riders can fine‑tune nearly every aspect of the bike’s handling thanks to:

  • 5 head‑tube angle positions
  • 2 bottom bracket height settings
  • 4 chainstay lengths

With up to 40 geometry combinations, the Amflow PR adapts to your terrain, your style, and your ambitions. From steep, technical climbs to fast, flowing descents, the bike’s adjustable platform gives you complete control over how it rides.

Power That Feels Natural – Until You Need More

At the heart of the Amflow PR is the Avinox Drive System, available in two configurations:

  • M2 Drive Unit – lightweight, responsive, and efficient
  • M2S Drive Unit – delivering up to 150N·m of torque and 1500W peak power

Despite its massive output, the system is engineered for quiet, seamless support. With noise levels as low as 45dBA, the trail feels more alive—wind, tyres, and terrain take centre stage again.

Ride Modes for Every Moment

  • Auto Mode adjusts assistance in real time based on terrain and rider input.
  • Boost Mode unleashes full power instantly for steep climbs or technical features.
  • High‑precision sensors ensure support feels smooth, linear, and intuitive.

Battery Freedom: Ride Farther, Charge Faster

800Wh Removable Battery

The new RS800 battery delivers up to 158km of range and weighs as little as 4kg. Its slide‑rail mounting system and Battery Lock make swaps fast, secure, and tool‑free.

Dual‑Battery Expansion

For ultra‑long adventures, the frame supports an additional 600Wh RS600 battery. Riders can set discharge priorities and monitor each battery independently via the Control Display or Avinox Ride app.

Fast Charging, Less Waiting

The compact 12A/508W GaN charger powers the system from:

  • 0 – 80% in ~1h 36m
  • 0 – 100% in ~2h 25m

Perfect for topping up during lunch breaks or between shuttle laps.

Battery Care for Long‑Term Health

Custom charging limits (70-100%) help extend battery lifespan and reduce degradation over time.

Smart Tech That Elevates Every Ride

Offline Navigation

Import GPX/FIT/TCX routes into the Avinox Ride app and sync them directly to the bike’s display. Once loaded, the bike navigates independently—no phone required.

Apple Find My Integration

Track your bike’s location and battery level through Apple’s Find My network. A built‑in buzzer helps you locate it quickly in crowded trailheads or car parks.

Smart Heart Rate Control

Set a target heart‑rate zone, pair a monitor, and let the drive system automatically adjust support to keep you in your ideal training range.

SmoothShift

Integrated with SRAM’s electronic transmission, SmoothShift lets you change gears while coasting—keeping your cadence and flow uninterrupted.
