Bosch Performance Line CX & CX‑R Update: More Power, More Control, More Fun

Bosch has dropped a fresh update for the Performance Line CX and CX‑R motors, and it’s a good one. Available now through the Bosch Flow App, the upgrade brings 120Nm of torque, 600% support, and a more customisable Extended Boost Overrun. There are also a couple of neat extras tucked in, including a drivetrain tensioner feature and a new Trick Check mode for tracking those little moments that make a ride memorable.

Looking ahead, Bosch has also confirmed a 12A GaN fast charger arriving later this year. It weighs under 1kg, so it’s ideal for riders who like to head out all day and top up on the go. We’ll be stocking them as soon as they land.

120Nm Torque

The CX and CX‑R motors now push out 120Nm, giving you noticeably more drive on steep pitches and technical climbs. It’s a welcome boost for riders who spend their time exploring the rougher side of the trail network.

600% Support

With up to six times your input, the motor steps in when the gradient ramps up or the legs start to fade. It’s designed to keep you moving smoothly, even when the terrain isn’t playing nice.

Extended Boost Overrun

You can now fine‑tune how long the motor continues to help after you stop pedalling. It’s especially handy for awkward rock steps, rooty sections, or anywhere you’d normally lose momentum.

Trick Check

A fun addition for riders who like to look back on their ride stats. Trick Check automatically logs airtime, manuals, stoppies, and more, giving you a snapshot of the playful bits once you’re back at the trailhead.
