South Lakes Bikes Fest & Staveley 3VC 2025

South Lakes Bike Festival

The South Lakes Bike Fest is an annual mountain biking event held in the picturesque Kentmere Valley of the Lake District. In 2025, the festival is scheduled for the weekend of June 13th to 15th. Participants can look forward to exploring great trails, testing demo bikes and enjoying live music in a beautiful setting.

The event will take place at Eddies Field in Staveley. The site opens at 1pm on Friday and evening activities commence at 6pm on Friday, June 13th, 2025.

Tickets are priced at £20 if choosing to camp for the weekend and are available for purchase online. Given the popularity of the festival, it’s advisable to secure tickets early.

Staveley 3 Valleys Challenge.

The Staveley 3 Valleys Challenge is a timed charity mountain bike ride that starts and finishes at the Mill Yard in Staveley, traversing the Longsleddale, Kentmere, and Troutbeck Valleys, including the Garburn Pass (not the short). Originally organised in memory of Sam Houghton, the event has raised over £200,000 for Cancer Research UK.

Participants can choose between a short 20 Kms or a long  course of  30 kms Categories include Solo (male or female), Pair and Team (groups of 3 or 4), with options for riders using electric mountain bikes.

The short course also offers a ‘Youth & Experience’ category for groups with at least one rider under 16 and one over 18.
