About the Sythe
The Sythe is Whyte’s new long‑travel alloy enduro bike, built for riders who want maximum confidence on big terrain. It is designed for steep trails, rough descents and bike‑park laps, with geometry and suspension tuned for aggressive riding. The frame uses Whyte’s 6061 hydroformed T6 multi‑butted alloy construction for long‑term durability and a planted, predictable ride feel.
Suspension and Travel
The Sythe runs 170mm travel up front and 160mm at the rear, using Whyte’s custom‑tuned suspension paired with Marzocchi or RockShox components. The setup is designed to stay active on rough ground, offer strong mid‑stroke support and maintain grip when the trail gets fast and unpredictable.
MX Wheel Setup
The Sythe uses a mixed wheel setup with a 29in front wheel for stability and rollover, and a 27.5in rear wheel for agility and quicker direction changes. Sizes M, L and XL can also be converted to a full 29in setup for riders who prefer a more planted feel.
Proportional Sizing
Whyte’s proportional sizing ensures every frame size gets its own tuned geometry, keeping handling consistent across the range. This gives riders of all heights the same balanced, confident ride feel.
Frame and Geometry
The 6061 alloy frame uses hydroformed tubes, a strong linkage layout and geometry adjustment to fine tune the ride. The design focuses on stability at speed, control on steep terrain and predictable handling when the trail gets rough.
Tyres and Grip
The Sythe comes equipped with Schwalbe Magic Mary tyres, giving strong braking traction and cornering grip in loose, wet and technical conditions. They are ready for tubeless setup straight out of the box.
Two Build Options
The Sythe is available in two spec levels:
- Sythe RS – higher‑end suspension and components for riders who want maximum performance
- Sythe S – a robust, capable build ideal for riders stepping into enduro or upgrading from a trail bike
Both builds share the same alloy frame and geometry, giving every rider the same core performance.

The Sythe suits riders who want a capable, confidence‑inspiring enduro bike without moving into the top‑tier carbon price range. It’s ideal for:
- gravity riders
- enduro racers
- bike‑park riders
- big‑mountain explorers
- anyone who wants a tough, long‑travel bike built to last
