Our KOM-winning road tech meets Unbound-winning engineering. The LAB71 SuperX is super aero and over 100 grams lighter than its predecessor, helping you stay ahead of the pack in this rapidly -evolving era of high- speed, elbow-to-elbow gravel racing. With gravel race speeds averaging well over 35 km/h, the LAB71 SuperX brings a whole lotta free speed over any distance.

Gravel Glider, Not Grinder

SuperX’s sophisticated carbon construction smooth out the rough, floating above the gravel to keep you cranking. Specially constructed flex zones in the seat tube, rear triangle, and top tube work as a system with the D-shaped seatpost to absorb shock and vibration, keeping your mind and body fresher longer.

Rolling Fatties
Courses vary, terrain varies, weather varies.The SuperX fits tires up to 48mm for the frame and 51mm for the fork, with at least 4mm clearance on each side, ready for whatever tire the day demands.

Delta Steerer
The Delta steerer design is great for gravel racing. It allows for clean cable integration from the cockpit into the frame, and a reduced frontal area for increased aero efficiency.
The Cover Up
A slick cover hides SuperX’s top tube bag mount. It’s there when you want it, invisible when you don’t.

D-Lightful 
The D-shaped design of SuperX’s seatpost enhances aerodynamics and boosts vertical compliance, reducing muscle fatigue so you stay fresh and fast for the final sprint.

OutFront Geometry

OutFront pairs a slack head angle with a longer-than-normal 55mm fork offset, increasing stability and control on the steep and loose – while maintaining the snappy handling you need for quick line changes and last-second corrections.
SystemBar R-One
Sleek and light, the SystemBar R-One carbon cockpit is a perfect gravel racing command center, giving you an aero advantage, clean integration, and all-day comfort. Available on the LAB71 SuperX and aftermarket.

WHEELBASE BIG DEMO WEEKEND 2025 – STAVELEY, LAKE DISTRICT

The original and biggest mountain bike demo in the UK is back!

When?

Saturday 22nd & Sunday 23rd March 2025

How?

The 2025 edition will bring together some of the World’s best mountain bike brands for one BIG weekend of riding in the Lake District. There will be a HUGE fleet of mountain and e-mountain bikes available to demo on our fully guided rides, direct from our Staveley store around the stunning Kentmere Valley. Everyone is welcome from beginner mountain bikers to seasoned veterans. All demo rides need to be booked in advance through our BIG DEMO WEEKEND website. Demo bikes are £10 to book per ride.

 

 

Skills Levels

All rides are guided by local guides. Please read the descriptions below to identify the level of ride to suit your skills and fitness. Choose between Beginner, Intermediate or Expert…

Expert
Regular, experienced mountain bikers with advanced fitness and bike handling skills. Please also check with staff as to the suitability of your bike, clothing and equipment. If you have any reservations about joining this group, you must book onto the intermediate ride which is still a testing mountain bike route and perfect for focusing on the performance of the bike.

Intermediate
Regular mountain bikers with good fitness and bike handling skills. Please also check with staff as to the suitability of your bike, clothing and equipment. If you have any reservations about joining this group, you must book onto the Beginner ride as an alternative which is a great mountain bike route for testing all the features you’ll be considering on your demo bike.

Beginner
Enthusiastic riders with basic fitness and riding skills. Please also check with staff as to the suitability of your bike, clothing and equipment.

Age Restrictions
No riders younger than 16 years on the Big Demo. Riders aged 16 and 17 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian who will be responsible for their safety.

As well as getting you set-up on your chosen bike they’ll be able to talk you through all of its key features and answer any questions you may have. The Wheelbase BIG Demo Weekend is a chance to really get to know how your chosen bike behaves in real-world riding conditions. What better way to get to know how the latest suspension or e-bike motor feels than on the super-fun trails that surround our Wheelbase HQ in the South Lake District. With qualified ride guides showing the way there’s no need to worry about navigation; you can just focus on the riding and sharing the trails with like-minded mountain bikers.
