Trek Bikes return to present the big Friday night session at the Kendal Film Festival on Friday 14/11 after becoming the headline sponsor of the event in 2018, and as the North West’s number 1 Trek Bike dealer we have invited the Factory Racing Pro’s for a ride over Garburn Pass at 2.30pm after the World premiere of their new team film ‘Going In’ at 12.15pm at Kendal Town Hall on Saturday 15/11.

So, come along and join WHEELBASE and Trek Factory Pro’s Reece Wilson, Evie Richards and Tracy Moseley for a FREE ride over Garburn Pass with a pro photographer and post ride beers. Unfortunately, Katy Winton can’t join us this year due to a wrist injury.

We will have guides and support riders on this ride, and we will make sure everyone has a great time, all we would ask it that you are a relevantly experienced mountain bike who has had experience of rocky Lakeland terrain. Please also bring some lights just in case.

We will sign you on to the ride on the day and leave at 2.30pm from outside our WHEELBASE Lake District Store in the Mill Yard, Staveley LA8 9LR
This group ride will be free of charge but with a suggested £5 donation to the Kendal Mountain Rescue team.

That was some DEMO! Thanks to everyone for rocking up in horrendous conditions, and all the brands, guides and store staff for making it happen – 162 of the world’s best mountain bikes, 12 brands, 16 guides and over 500 bike washes.

This year’s Big Demo Weekend was wet and wild. When Saturday morning rolled around we were geared up for some hostile Lake District weather and fully prepared for a challenging day ahead. Despite the relentless rain and wind we had over 100 keen demo riders heading out onto the trails of the Kentmere valley to test some of the world’s best mountain bikes, expertly guided by CycleActive.

We were in luck on Sunday as the rain disappeared and the winds eased for a clear day of riding. The trails were still pretty wet from the day before but that didn’t stop more demo riders turning up and taking on the challenging terrain.

60 customers from our team vechical partners PV Dobson Volvo and Wheelbase had a great experience of riding in a pro peloton on a 35 mile loop of the south Lakes with pro riders from Madison Genesis, WHEELBASE Castelli MGD Elite mens team and our WHEELBASE CabTech Junior development team.

PV Dobson Volvo ‘Ride Like a Pro’ event

This summer sees the return of the PV Dobson Volvo ‘Ride Like a Pro’ event on Saturday 15 September from 12noon.

‘Ride Like a Pro’ brings cyclists of all levels together to enjoy the excitement of the peloton on a punchy 35mile route around Cartmel and the South Lakes.

A lucky rider will be drawn to win the all new Volvo V60 for a weekend of their choice, plus other spot prizes.

The route will be fully signed with support riders and car from British Elite Team WHEELBASE Casetlli MGD. Come and join us for what should be a fantastic family event in conjunction with PV Dobson Volvo and Wheelbase.
