Cannondale SuperSix EVO Gen 5 (2026) – Faster Everywhere

Wheelbase were invited to Girona to be among the first to experience the new Cannondale SuperSix EVO Gen 5, the latest evolution of Cannondale’s flagship road race bike. Set in one of Europe’s most established cycling locations, the launch provided an opportunity to explore what’s new for the 2026 SuperSix EVO, both on the road and in conversation with the engineers behind the platform.

The fifth-generation SuperSix EVO builds on a proven race-winning formula, delivering lower weight, improved aerodynamics, and a more aggressive race fit, while retaining the handling balance that has defined the SuperSix name.

The SuperSix EVO Legacy

Since its introduction, the Cannondale SuperSix EVO has been known for combining three essential performance traits:

  • Lightweight construction
  • Class-leading aerodynamic efficiency
  • Sharp, predictable handling

Previous generations have claimed victories across WorldTour racing, from Grand Tour stages to Monuments and World Championships. The Gen 5 SuperSix EVO takes that foundation and refines it further, improving performance without compromising versatility.

Performance-Focused Design

Lightweight Efficiency

Every detail of the frame and fork has been refined for minimal weight, allowing riders to convert effort directly into elevation gain. Size-specific carbon layups ensure consistent ride quality across the full size range.

Balanced Handling

The SuperSix EVO geometry blends nimble steering with high-speed stability, delivering confident cornering and predictable control in varied race conditions.

Aerodynamic Advantage

Aero-optimised tube shapes reduce real-world drag, supporting sustained speed in breakaways, headwinds, and fast group riding.

Power Transfer

Cannondale’s Proportional Response construction tailors stiffness and compliance to each frame size, ensuring efficient power delivery regardless of rider height or riding style.

Tyre Clearance and Comfort

  • Maximum measured tyre width of 32mm
  • Minimum 4mm clearance on all sides
  • Allows reduced rolling resistance and increased comfort without compromising race performance

Delta Steerer and Integrated Cable Routing

  • Fully internal cable routing via the Delta Steerer
  • Reduced frontal area for aerodynamic gains
  • Clean cockpit integration with Cannondale and third-party cockpit systems
