Karve is Whyte’s full-power electric mountain bike platform for riders who prioritise technical trail and descending performance. Rather than creating one bike to cover every type of riding, Whyte developed two versions around different levels of travel and gravity capability.
The 160mm Karve is the more agile of the two, combining full-power assistance with a platform intended for aggressive trail and enduro riding. Its 29-inch wheels and mid-travel configuration suit riders who want strong descending capability without moving all the way to a gravity-focused setup.
Karve EVO increases travel to 180mm and uses an MX wheel configuration, pairing a 29-inch front wheel with a 27.5-inch rear. It’s the more descending-focused option, aimed at steep terrain, bike parks, big-mountain riding and riders who want to use the motor to self-shuttle back to the top.
Both platforms use Whyte’s Quad-Link 4 suspension and proportional geometry, with geometry and weight distribution adjusted across the size range. The Avinox M2S system provides up to 150Nm of torque and 1300W peak power, paired with an 800Wh battery.
