Cannondale CAAD13 – Exclusive Wheelbase Offers

Cannondale CAAD13 – The Pinnacle of Alloy Performance

Now Available at Exclusive Wheelbase Prices

For riders who crave top-tier performance without crossing into carbon territory, the Cannondale CAAD13 stands out as a benchmark in alloy road racing. Rooted in a heritage of innovation and refined through decades of development, the CAAD13 represents the very best of what aluminium can deliver – speed, precision, comfort, and exceptional value. And right now, Wheelbase are offering both the CAAD13 105 Di2 and CAAD13 Rival AXS at exclusive prices, making it the perfect time to upgrade your ride.

The Evolution of Aluminium Excellence

Cannondale has long been the undisputed leader in aluminium bike engineering. The CAAD legacy began when Cannondale disrupted the status quo of steel bikes with oversized, lightweight aluminium frames – and they’ve been pushing the boundaries ever since. The CAAD13 continues this legacy, offering a race-ready package that refuses to compromise on performance.

With truncated airfoil tube shapes that slice through wind and dropped seat stays for added compliance, this frame is as fast as it is refined. It’s built around Cannondale’s SmartForm C1 Premium Alloy – their most advanced aluminium construction to date – paired with a full carbon fork for added responsiveness and weight savings.

Road-Ready Versatility

While speed is at the heart of the CAAD13, it’s also designed to handle the realities of everyday riding. With clearance for 30mm tyres, hidden fender mounts, and Speed Release thru-axles, this bike is equipped to tackle rough roads and unpredictable British weather just as confidently as smooth tarmac and sunshine. It’s the most versatile race bike in Cannondale’s line-up – and arguably, the most refined aluminium race bike ever made.

Whyte Secta – Comfortable and confidence-inspiring, Whyte’s latest generation of trail hardtails

Whyte Secta Hardtail Mountain Bike – Built for the Lake District’s Toughest Trails

If you’re searching for a trail-ready hardtail that thrives in real-world conditions like those found in the Lake District, the Whyte Secta is purpose-built to deliver. With progressive geometry, intelligently curated components, and 20 years of trail expertise behind its design, the Secta is the perfect partner for riders ready to explore everything from forest singletrack to steep Lakeland descents.

Ready for a Range of Trails

The Whyte Secta isn’t just a budget-friendly entry into trail riding – it’s a versatile, well-specced machine that’s ready for everything from fast-flowing XC loops around Grizedale to the rockier, more technical descents of Whinlatter and Helvellyn. Whether you’re heading out on a full-day epic or sessioning your favourite singletrack lines, Secta delivers a capable, exhilarating ride.

Its aluminium chassis, refined across 13 elements (nine of which are brand-new), has been developed from the ground up using Whyte’s latest geometry thinking – resulting in a modern hardtail that’s balanced, agile, and composed on even the gnarliest Lakeland trails.

Swift, Efficient and Confidence-Inspiring

When you’re pedalling up sharp climbs or traversing technical rocky sections common to the Lakes, the Secta’s direct power transfer gives you efficient propulsion. Its lighter weight compared to a full-suspension bike means faster acceleration, making it ideal for riders who want to cover more ground, quickly and confidently.

Whyte have poured all their hardtail know-how into the Secta, crafting a bike that delivers confidence-inspiring handling, swift responsiveness, and trail-ready toughness without the fuss.

Quality, Simplicity and Reliability

Let’s be honest – Lake District weather isn’t always kind. That’s why the Secta has been designed to keep maintenance low and performance high, even after a muddy weekend in the fells. Fewer moving parts than a full-sus bike, combined with weather-sealed internal cable routing, a threaded bottom bracket, and external chainstay routing, mean it’s as easy to look after as it is to ride.

And while it’s competitively priced, this is no basic build. You get a fully-featured aluminium frame, well-specced components, and clever touches like SRAM UDH compatibility and tool/bottle mounts – all of which add real-world value to your ride.

Balanced for Every Ride

The Total Geometry concept at the heart of the Secta gives it uniquely balanced handling: confident on the downs, comfortable on long climbs, and playful through technical terrain.

63.5° head angle, 35mm stem, and 44mm offset fork deliver stable, reactive steering.

Size-specific seat angles (from 75.5° to 77°) enhance climbing efficiency and rider comfort.

A sub-300mm ride height keeps the centre of gravity low for nimble, responsive handling.

Matched with a 130mm fork that hits the suspension sweet spot, you get the perfect blend of stability and trail pop.

Well-Specced for Adventure

Everything about the Secta is designed for real-world trail use:

29” wheels and 2.5” Maxxis tyres provide speed, traction and cushion across mixed terrain.

Shimano 1X drivetrain delivers smooth, reliable shifting.

Hydraulic disc brakes with 180mm rotors offer confident braking even on long, steep descents.

Long-stroke dropper post compatibility and 300mm seat tube insertion give full control on sketchy terrain.

Bottle cage and tool storage mounts lower the centre of gravity while keeping essentials close at hand.

The Perfect Hardtail for Lake District Trails

From Windermere to Whinlatter, the Whyte Secta thrives in the rugged beauty of the Lake District. It’s an MTB that feels just as at home weaving through woodland switchbacks as it does powering up rocky bridleways. Whether you’re progressing your trail skills or after a no-nonsense hardtail that won’t hold you back, the Secta is a smart, performance-driven choice.

Whyte Secta – Ride further, faster, and with more confidence on every Lake District adventure.

Wheelbase Cabtech Castelli Unveils 2025 Squad: A New Era Begins

Wheelbase Cabtech Castelli Unveils 2025 Squad: A New Era Begins

Wheelbase Cabtech Castelli Team Launch Video 2025

The excitement is palpable as Wheelbase Cabtech Castelli officially unveils its 2025 team lineup, setting the stage for another thrilling season of racing. With a dynamic blend of returning riders and fresh talent, the team is geared up for success on the UK and international racing scene.

A Stronger, Faster Team for 2025

After an impressive 2024 season, Wheelbase Cabtech Castelli has opted for stability.  Team Manager Stu Reid has prioritised continuity, retaining a core group of experienced riders and making just four new signings. With a focus on endurance, speed, and teamwork, the 2025 iteration of the team is ready to push the limits.

With only two departures, the team heads into 2025 with a balanced mix of proven performers and fresh talent.

The seven retained riders from last season include a list of proven domestic race winners and protagonists: Tom Martin, Thomas Armstrong, Tim Shoreman, Jacob Smith, Lee Rosie, Aaron King, and David Lines.

Tom Martin remains a crucial part of the squad. The Rás Tailteann stage winner brings aggression and tactical nous, capable of seizing opportunities in breakaways when others hesitate. Alongside him, Thomas Armstrong has been a consistent performer in National A races, securing top-ten finishes at the Lancaster Grand Prix and the Beaumont Trophy, proving himself as a dependable rider in the biggest domestic one-day events.

If there’s one rider in the squad capable of winning any race on the British domestic calendar, it’s Tim Shoreman. A powerful all-rounder with a fast finish, he has already demonstrated his ability to mix it with the best, winning the Colne Grand Prix in 2023, finishing second in the East Cleveland Classic in 2024 and winning the final stage of the Rás last year.

So Who’s New?

James McKay is a big signing for 2025.  The former Saint Piran rider was one of the most consistent performers in the National Road Series last year, picking up multiple top ten finishes, including second at the Lancaster Grand Prix and third at the East Cleveland Classic.

Mitchell McLoughlin, joining from the All Human – VeloRevolution Cycling Team, brings experience from both road and track racing. As a para-tandem pilot for the Irish Paralympic track team, he has spent much of the last Olympic cycle focusing on the velodrome. However, he has a strong road background and will be a key figure for Wheelbase in the National Circuit Series.

Dexter Leeming-Sykes joins the team after a stint racing in France at Team U Charente-Maritime. His most notable result in the UK came at the 2023 Rapha Lincoln Grand Prix, where he finished seventh on debut – a clear indication of his talent.

Max Bufton, steps up from the junior ranks. Having raced for Tofauti Everyone Active, he was recommended to Reid by Welsh Cycling’s Rob Atkinson. The team is eager to support his transition into senior racing.

The team will be managed by experienced D.S Stu Reid

Meet the Riders (some of)

This year’s lineup features a mix of experienced racers and rising stars, each bringing their unique strengths to the table. Expect fierce competition and thrilling performances as they take on the biggest events of the year. Key athletes are set to return and fresh faces looking to make their mark.

New Bikes, New Kit, Same Winning Mentality

For 2025, Wheelbase Cabtech Castelli continues its partnership with cutting-edge brands, ensuring the team is equipped with the best technology in the sport. The team will be riding Cannondale Super Six Evo 3’s for the upcoming season, blending lightweight efficiency with aerodynamic precision. Meanwhile, the fresh new kit, designed by Castelli, is set to turn heads with its bold aesthetic and innovative materials, enhancing rider comfort and speed.

Smoother Ride, Swifter Pace

With KingPin and Lefty Oliver, Cannondale brings rough-stuff-smoothing suspension to gravel like nobody else. Better confidence and more control means getting somewhere new a whole lot quicker. If you thought suspension was just for MTBs, think again.

Easy To Live With

Responsibly designed, so you can ride it irresponsibly. Everything on Topstone Carbon is there for simplicity and compatibility. Threaded Bottom Bracket? Check. Standard external seat binder? Check. Zero to low maintenance suspension? Check. Less down time, more ride time. Easy.

Bring It All

Designed to move and built to carry. Our all-new StashPort downtube storage system and StashBag bring your tools/essentials/whatever along for the ride in stealthy, secure comfort. Meanwhile, multiple mounting points make this the bikepacking bomb.

Lefty Oliver Fork Option: For those seeking additional front-end compliance, the 2025 model offers a third-generation Lefty Oliver suspension fork on select builds, providing 30mm of travel tailored for gravel riding.

Tyre Clearance: The frame accommodates wider tires, allowing for enhanced grip and comfort, making it adaptable to a variety of terrains.

Refined Geometry: Cannondale has updated the bike’s geometry to provide a lower standover height and bottom bracket, aiming to improve rider stability and confidence on challenging surfaces.

Brand New From Whyte

The KADO S & KADO RSX Electric Mountain Bikes

If you can dream it, you can do it

Our confidence-inspiring Total Geometry handling; 160mm/150mm of custom-tuned suspension travel; feedback-rich and powerful four-pot hydraulic brakes; the refined power delivery of Bosch’s latest CX motor.

Removable battery
We’ve made removing Kado’s internal slide-in internal battery a cinch for storage, battery swaps, or off-the-bike charging: just open the battery cover, unclip the battery connector, undo the captive bolt, and slide the battery out. Simple. By not cutting a compromising hole in the downtube, we’ve also maximised the frame’s strength and minimised its weight.

Made to last
Engineered for longevity and reliability to stay on the trail – and out of the workshop. Whyte have designed, tested, and proven every Kado in their native UK, riding all year round through the best and the worst of conditions. Riding through the foulest winters means they’ve added a whole host of weather-proofing touches that may not grab headlines but will keep you riding sweeter and for longer.

All-new chassis
Kado’s chassis is ground-up, brand-new and available in three choices of materials to suit different tastes and budgets: full carbon (Kado RSX), carbon front triangle/alloy rear triangle (Kado RS), and full aluminium (Kado S).

Takes a waterbottle
Take water with you on any Kado with space for a water bottle on every frame size.

Tube-in-tube internal cable routing
Carbon Kado’s have fully lined internal hose and cable runs through both the frame’s front and rear triangles to make cable and hose changes as easy as A-B-C.

Switchable rear wheel
You can swap the rear wheelsize by changing the ‘Shape. It’ link to go from full 29er front and rear to MX (aka ‘mixed wheels – 29in front, 27.5in rear).

All Kado bikes are ready to convert to a MX (aka mullet) wheel set-up (29in front, 27.5in rear wheel) so you can tailor their ride to exactly how you want – and all without affecting the geometry or the suspension kinematics. Just replace the bike’s stock Shape. It Link with our Shape. It Link L (62-66mm), together with a suitable ASTM/EN17406 rated rear wheel (category 4, enduro) laced with an eBike rated rear hub.

Rebike Cumbria x Wheelbase Trade-In : A Huge Success!

Last week, thanks to the donations made by our customers during our Trade-In offer, Wheelbase handed over 100 bikes to Rebike Cumbria. The generosity of our customers is greatly appreciated and the campaign was a huge success. The Trade-In bikes will be refurbished and given a new lease of life for their new owners to enjoy for many more years.

Who are Rebike?

Rebike Carlisle, officially known as Rebike Cumbria Community Interest Company (CIC), is a remarkable initiative dedicated to promoting cycling and fostering community engagement in Carlisle and its surrounding areas.

A Hub for Refurbished Bicycles

At the heart of Rebike’s operations is the collection of unwanted or donated bicycles. These bikes undergo thorough servicing and refurbishment, ensuring they are in excellent condition before being offered for resale. This not only promotes environmental sustainability by reducing waste but also makes affordable bicycles accessible to the community. Children’s bikes are available starting from approximately £40, while adult bikes are priced from around £85. The organization maintains a webshop where much of their stock can be viewed, and their physical location is open to visitors from Tuesday to Saturday, 9:30 am to 4:30 pm.

Empowering Through Community Engagement

Beyond bicycle sales, Rebike is deeply committed to making cycling accessible to everyone, regardless of age, experience, gender, or social background. Their community-focused programs include:

  • Free Learn-to-Ride Sessions: Helping individuals gain confidence on two wheels.

  • Complimentary Bike Checks and Repairs: Ensuring cyclists can ride safely without financial burden.

  • Bicycle Loan Programs: Providing free bike loans to those who may not have immediate access to a bicycle.

  • Guided Social Rides: Organizing traffic-free group rides to encourage social interaction and promote healthy lifestyles.

  • Maintenance Workshops: Offering free classes to teach basic bike maintenance skills, empowering cyclists to take care of their own equipment.

A Journey of Growth and Impact

Since its inception, Rebike has undergone significant growth. Starting in a modest 600 sq ft space on Citadel Parade, the organization expanded to a 2000 sq ft unit under the railway arches below Carlisle Station. In 2011, Rebike was incorporated as Rebike Cumbria Ltd, and by 2022, it transitioned into a Community Interest Company (CIC), reflecting its unwavering commitment to community service.

In 2019, the ‘Rebike Community Cycle Hub’ was established by a group of enthusiastic cyclists aiming to assist newcomers in gaining confidence and learning bike maintenance. This hub promotes healthy living and community engagement through various initiatives, including pop-up bicycle workshops, free bike loans, led bike rides, and educational workshops in schools.

Join the Movement

Rebike Carlisle thrives on the support and involvement of the community. Whether you’re looking to donate a bicycle, volunteer your time, or participate in their programs, your contribution can make a significant difference. Fulcrum Wind 55 & Wind 75 | It’s All About Speed

Fulcrum Wind Carbon Bike Wheels

A Perfect Blend of Speed and Performance

Cycling enthusiasts know that the right wheelset can make a world of difference in performance. Whether you’re a competitive racer, a dedicated road cyclist, or a weekend warrior, aerodynamics, weight, and stiffness are critical factors in choosing the right wheels. One name that consistently delivers high-quality wheels is Fulcrum, and their Wind Carbon series has gained attention for offering a balance of speed, durability, and affordability.Among their notable offerings are the Wind 55 DB and Wind 75 DB wheelsets, each designed to cater to specific aerodynamic and performance needs.

Wheelbase is offering an Exclusive Deal on the Fulcrum Wind 55 and Wind 75 Carbon Road Wheels. If you’re thinking about upgrading your Wheelset ready for the new season, it’s a deal you should really be taking advantage of!

Fulcrum Wind 55C – A versatile 55mm deep wheelset, ideal for modern all-around riding.

Fulcrum Wind 75C – A deeper 75mm profile, optimized for flat terrain and high-speed efforts.

Both models offer a full-carbon rim, disc-brake compatibility, and Fulcrum’s renowned 2-Way Fit™ technology, making them suitable for tubeless or clincher setups.

Key Features of the Fulcrum Wind Carbon Wheels

Aerodynamic Carbon Rim

The 55mm and 75mm rim profiles strike a balance between aerodynamics and handling.

The 55C provides a great mix of weight savings and aero gains, making it a solid choice for rolling terrain.

The 75C is better suited for time trials, triathlons, or flat road races where speed is paramount.

Both rims are crafted from unidirectional carbon fiber, offering lightweight strength and enhanced stiffness for efficient power transfer.

2-Way Fit™ for Tubeless or Clincher Tires

One of Fulcrum’s standout technologies is 2-Way Fit™, allowing you to choose between tubeless or clincher tires.

Tubeless setup reduces rolling resistance and the risk of punctures.

Clincher compatibility offers convenience and ease of tire changes.

Wide Rim Profile for Modern Tires

The 19mm internal width is optimised for wider tires (25-28mm), improving:

Comfort

Grip

Rolling resistance

This wider profile aligns well with the current trend in road cycling, where wider tires provide better performance without sacrificing speed.

Disc Brake Compatibility

The Wind Carbon wheels are disc-brake only, meaning they are designed for modern road bikes with hydraulic or mechanical disc braking systems.

Disc brakes provide consistent braking performance in all weather conditions.

No brake track on the rim improves aerodynamics and durability.

Smooth & Reliable Hubs

Fulcrum equips the Wind Carbon series with high-quality aluminum hubs, featuring sealed cartridge bearings for long-lasting smoothness and efficiency.

The rear hub features a solid freehub system, available in Shimano from Wheelbase.

The hubs use MoMag™ technology, which eliminates the need for rim tape, further reducing weight.

Balanced Weight & Stiffness

Wind 55C Weight: 1,615g per pair

Wind 75C Weight: 1820g per pair

While not the absolute lightest carbon wheels on the market, they offer excellent stiffness-to-weight ratio and durability and are available at a fantastic price. The Wind 55C is particularly well-suited for climbing, while the 75C excels in flat, fast conditions.

Who Are the Fulcrum Wind Carbon Wheels For?

The Fulcrum Wind Carbon series is perfect for:

Enthusiast & Competitive Road Cyclists – Ideal for those seeking an aerodynamic advantage without an extreme price tag.
Gran Fondo & Endurance Riders – Comfortable and stable, especially when paired with wider tires.
Triathletes & Time Trialists – The 55C’s deep profile is excellent for speed-focused disciplines.
Racers on a Budget – Premium performance without the ultra-premium cost of high-end models.

In Summary

Aerodynamic carbon rim profiles (40mm & 55mm options)
2-Way Fit™ for both tubeless & clincher tires
Wide rim width for modern tire performance
High-quality hubs and durable sealed bearings
Disc-brake specific design for better braking
Competitively priced for a carbon aero wheelset (even more so with the Wheelbase exclusive price!)

NEW FROM WHYTE | E-180 RSX

Brand new from Whyte

in stock at WHEELBASE!

The Whyte E-180 RSX is the chaos-crushing, downhill-dominating, climb-shrinking super electric mountain bike (e-MTB) for self-shuttled gravity riding, bike park play, and big mountain terrain. Engineered with an innovative low centre of gravity (CoG) design, it ‘plays and slays’ on the tightest, steepest tracks but still has your back when you’re flat out through boulder fields with handling that’s agile and alive for maximum fun, hour after hour, and run after run.

If having the best time dropping in on the biggest terrain is why you ride, the E-180 RSX is ready.

The Highlights

Optimised low centre of gravity gives you untouchable gravity handling.

180mm front + 170mm rear of trail-dominating suspension travel.

Multi-butted 6061 T-6 aluminium hydroformed frame is built to last.

Bosch Performance CX Gen 4 85Nm motor (600W peak power) for class-leading performance and reliability.

750Wh battery gives you the range to get more runs in between charges.

MX wheels (29er front, 27.5in rear) so you can tackle everything full-gas – no matter how rowdy or steep.

Dressed To Perform, Zero Compromises

To give you the best performance possible for when you’re pushing hard on the biggest terrain, the E-180 RSX is equipped with ‘sorted right from the box’ parts selection headlined by Fox’s impeccable Factory series suspension units front and rear; wireless electronic shifting across the 1×12 transmission from SRAM’s X01 Eagle AXS; reliable and controllable braking power on even the longest, roughest descents with SRAM Code RSC four-piston hydraulic disc brakes (220mm front rotor; 200mm rear); eBike-tough DT Swiss wheels; and top-drawer Maxxis’ dual-compound Assegai WT TR EXO+ tyres with Double Down Casing in the rear to shrug off the hardest knocks.

This bike is intended for all-mountain and enduro use over rough terrain, where loss of contact between the wheels and surface is common.

Engineered So You Can Commit

The E-180 RSX’s frameset maximises the advantage of Whytes unique tilted motor and super low-slung battery arrangement, which brings the bike’s centre of gravity as low as possible, to deliver you ultra-stable, dynamically centred and confident handling at any speed and on any terrain while short 155mm cranks deliver maximum pedal control and ground clearance.

Range & Reassurance – Get More From Every Ride

The extra-large 750Wh battery gives hour after hour, run after run on the biggest tracks and bike park lines, with a unique slide-out system for fast home charging removal and smaller battery options. Whyte’s innovative in-tube design is also far stronger and stiffer than open tube frames, surviving almost metric ton slam loads in testing so you can feel totally safe full-sending on the hill. Lifetime warranty bearings and full weather sealing back up Whyte’s and Bosch’s legendarily bombproof reliability. Because when a bike rides this great, downtime is a disaster.

Bosch Performance Line CX Gen 4 (Smart System) drive unit with 85Nm maximum torque, 250W nominal power. Features four power settings including Tour+, that allows riders to focus on riding whilst being economical on power usage, and eMTB mode which automatically adjusts the motor’s level of support to the terrain as you ride.

Smartly Connected

With the Bosch Smart System – which links up the E-180 RSX’s bar-mounted LED Remote, battery and motor via the companion ‘eBike Flow’ app – you can have even more information at your fingertips to manage, tailor and personalise your bike just how you want: tune the motor support levels; keep track of your bike’s performance and battery consumption; keep your software up to date. And much, much more.

Switchable Geometry

Whyte’s confidence-inspiring Total Geometry system coupled with the MX wheel set-up ensures the E-180 S ‘plays and slays’ on the tightest, steepest tracks but still has your back when you’re flat out through boulder fields with handling that’s agile and alive for maximum fun.

Whyte’s ‘flip-chip’ also allows you to change the geometry of the bike: switch it from the stock high to the low position to slacken the bike out by 0.6 degrees and lower the bottom bracket (BB) by 8mm for the most gravity-focused handling, or keep it in the high position for better all-mountain pedalling and handling. All without affecting the suspension kinematics.
